I haven't had mine for 3 months. I'm definitely NOT pregnant. I'm due to see a doctor about it in a couple of weeks. Last time he said it could be a mix of stress + diet/exercise.

Yeap, I posted a topic like this a while back. I'm definitely smaller but I still feel really insecure about how I look 90% of the time. I went from being "overweight" to "normal" and I've dropped dress sizes. I KNOW I'm wearing smaller sizes, but I look in the mirror and see the same silhouette I saw back in April. I've…

This is probably going to fall upon deaf ears, but seriously, GET HELP. You eat s@#% all and work out way too much for what you currently eat. There's no way you're getting full on a 600 calorie net per day. And even if you think you are, this is your body trying to tell you that you DON'T FRICKEN EAT ENOUGH! One can only…

A bald eagle that's just eaten a guinea pig (13 pounds)

Unfortunately, that's how I ended up here... I'm quite small already (5'0" and started MFP @ 132lb) - I went from around about 120lb to 132lb gradually over 4-5 years. This is simply because it doesn't take a lot of calories to maintain that weight, particularly in comparison to "normal-sized" people. I exercised a lot and…

Exactly. I've acquired tastes for: Coffee Red Wine Dark Chocolate Sashimi (raw fish) - but I'm still not a big fan of raw salmon

You look amazing :)

Holy c#@! I was not expecting that transformation when I scrolled down. Nice work :flowerforyou:

Yeah, I think it's pretty high - only accurate if it was a hardcore training session. I've guesstimated my karate burns based on the burns of other exercises.

We don't need to starve ourselves, but we can't expect fast weight loss by eating more. I'm 5'0" and 120lb. My sedentary TDEE is 1,650. If I eat 1,200 that's a 450 deficit, theoretically leading to about 1 lb of weight loss per week. Unfortunately, I feel starving on 1,200 and if I don't exercise, I can only manage a net…

Hahaha, I actually saw one of these people the other day and I almost cracked up laughing - I'd never really noticed them hanging out at the gym until I started looking into lifting

No idea about weather and appropriateness of various outfits for various things, but just thought I'd say your legs look great in the pleather in the second pic

I hate nutella... >.>

Really great progress Kairu - a major difference in the side on pics

I'm in the middle of stage one (just completed 5A last night) 1. Squats: 45kg (99lb) 2. Deadlifts: I *can* do 55kg (121lb) but only for a couple of reps - in keeping with the programme, I can properly do 45kg (99lb) 3. Height: 5'0" - Weight: 54.5kg (120lb)

You look great! Love your shoes in the last pic

Congrats! You look great

The more you workout, the more your body adapts to sweat easier; it becomes more efficient at beginning to cool you down at the earliest sign of exercise. Since you do Insanity, that might be forcing your body to sweat more even in low impact workout classes.

@bushidowoman: Yeah, we're not a sport either. @UncleMac: yeah, there is an element of that in a lot of exercise classes, but I think that it's particularly true in martial arts based classes given the type of movements involved, compare it to say, standard press ups; if you're made to do a standard press up, and you…

OMG, you guys look amazing! That's so cool that you're doing this together  Good luck with the last 13kg :flowerforyou:

I've been doing Shotokan for about 13 years and have my nidan. I still love it, but its effect on fitness really depends on your own drive whilst training - it's really easy to go through the motions and not get anything out of it (something a lot of people I train with tend to do, and it frustrates me to no end). I love…

Sounds great!

Me and my SO have plans to get engaged soon. We've been together 3 years and both feel like we want to have a life together. I'm the one that wants marriage more (I dunno why, it just seems like the right thing to do) and I've told him what I want. He's happy to make that commitment because he knows he wants a life with me…

So, I just found that tilapia is banned in New Zealand because it's destructive to our fresh water environments. Does anyone know what a similar type of fish is?
-
Yep - we have a facebook group too! https://www.facebook.com/groups/255128684526821/

My SO knows how much I weigh. He knew how much I weighed when I was on the heavier side and once decided to comment, "Oh, I'm only 10kg heavier than you!" - that hurt a little bit >.<
-
I would be shocked too! You look fabulous

Bump for later :)

I meant when all the pieces are a standard size...

My goal is 115lb (52kg). I'm 5'0", so this is a very acceptable weight for me (on the higher-mid range of a healthy BMI). But a few people have commented that it's too low because they can't visualise it on a short person, and it does sound like a lot less than what "normal-sized" people weigh.
