Some of these are really great responses. I think mindfulness was something I was really getting at; something that I'm looking to improve when it comes to all aspects of life, but also something that this weight loss progression is encouraging - thanks Dawn! :smile:

Don't practice on your knees, it doesn't help. Like others said, a 45 degree standing one (leaning on stairs or a counter) or static press ups could be good. You often gain a lot of water weight in the week running up to your period - so it could be that? But other than that, I think a lot of people have fluctuations - your weight is affected by a lot of factors (e.g. too much sodium, or not enough fibre etc).

Cheers guys :wink: My point was that I do go every other day, but Monday crowds make the Monday workout pretty damn tough. If people found the motivation to go everyday then the gym would feel more inclined to buy more machines.

Currently 55kg - a 3kg loss will put me at my goal of 52kg (but I don't think I'll get there by the end of September, just need a motivation boost :smile: )

I'm pretty shocked by all the posters telling OP to dump her partner. He's probably worried for her given she's already a healthy weight and has an unhealthy goal weight. Also she has "all or nothing" tendencies which can go over the top (I'm on her friends list). Not everyone on here is overweight with lazy partners…

While I don't think I'm quite at the point where I "punish myself" with cardio, I do a lot of cardio to "earn" food so I can eat more.
