Hi, my baby is only 3 weeks old but I need accountability to be able to lose the weight. My first 2 weeks is just logging whatever I eat. That is what I am currently doing. This stops me from just popping food in my mouth with out thinking and making me realise what things "cost". Once I have done that, I will work on…

I have 52lbs to lose. Starting again post baby number3. I am finding it really hard to reduce food with newborn, kids home etc. but needs must. Happy to join in.

I'm starting tomorrow... again... But this time 2 weeks post partum. I am aware that I it is very soon, almost too soon, but I need to get my liver back to healthy prior to an appointment in the next few months. I have decided to put weight loss to 1lb a week, and am pretty sedentary at the moment understandably. I have…

I am 2 weeks pp with my 3rd. whilst I only gained 10lbs with this baby, i have weight to lose from previous 2. Starting with a 30lb goal... I need to start asap as i had just been diagnosed with a fatty liver prior to pregnancy and want to nip in the bud. WHilst i have done 1200 cals with amazing results, I am starting…

I suffer from MCTD - a mixed connective tissue disorder in the family of lupus and RA. I go through phases. right now I am right up there with exercise; spinning, pump etc. However, there will be a day where I wake up and bang crash, I cnnot do anything... my fitness slowly goes into decline... until my health picks up…

I tried it and found it super difficult... I'm not a massive snacker post dinner though, so in theory I could have very early and not eat till next morning, but actually, weight loss is happening (albeit slowly) with PCOS and food across day so why change it? My husband is a research scientist who specialises in PCOS, (how…

Right, in terms of myself, i dont mind if the fitbit is consistently inconsistent, just so I can use as a comparison for myself alone. If that is the case, than maybe it is possible to do a somewhat like for like comparison. So if someone is wearing a device of some form that measures something or other, how many calories…

The reason i was asking the question was not because I would take on their calorie burn or anything like that. I was interested in how "hard people work" type of question. What is considered normal. ( I realise I am going to get a host of answers saying, there is no normal, everyone is different height size and shape.)…

It automatically adjusts according to my fitbit which has a heart rate on it so it is going according to that
-
yes I wear a fitbit. I burnt 400 yesterday in an hour. I did 2 lots of 15 minutes on cardio and the rest on weights/calisthenics. I was wondering what is considered normal for other people, not myself.

Yes I can do that. ( I normally weigh stuff raw because it is more accurate, or so I thought) But I will do cooked and see what life brings! This has to work!!!!!!!

I get this, I really do. It suddenly occurred to me today that my weight bothers me more then my chronic condition that causes pain every day! its horrible and awful, but I know full well that I CAN do something bout this. it might take me longer then most to lose weight, and it might be frustrating and slow but it is…

hmmm, ok i better start branching out a little. It's not that i don't like vegetables, but hubby doesn't eat any at all. (maybe cooked pepper if he feeling particularly generous to me) so I am cooking for myself, which is annoying. I have cabbage in the fridge, I will shred that and keep half fresh and steam the other…

i don't like the smell of them when they cook - i want someone else to cook and deliver them  Do u cook or eat raw?

awww this comment made tears come to my eyes (lol does that show what kind of a state I am in!!) the water idea is a good one, and maybe ensure there are veggies with every meal to begin with, to bulk up on, although some of my eating is not for hunger! Meal prep is a big deal - if there is ready food when I come in it…

I have lupus and have been on and off chemo and predisnolone for years. I am now determined to get this weight off but with the constant health setbacks and then losing all the fitness i gain, its hard to maintain.

I have an almost 3 year old and an almost 1 year old. I Work a million hours a week (or that what it feels like) and by the time children are in bed I"m shattered. I used to be an avid gym goer, as well as an avid Calorie counter, both of which have gone right out of the window. I saw a video of myself this week and omg...…

I have done the 1200 calorie thing in the past, lost my 21lbs in 3 months (back to pre preg) but this post part round, I can't seem to stick to 1200, feels like so little... I am obviously much busier now, more stressed, less sleep etc but still!! I am averaging approx 1550 (only just come back to MFP) but am walking about…

I could have written the OP.... I went back to work after 6 months maternity leave and the workload plus 2 kids plus running a home = bad eating habits (for me...) I realise its a mental battle, and I could prepare food bla bla etc. But today is the first day of a new month, I am ready to start again. I have mentally…

I have lupus and RA and have had days where I can barely walk... and others when I can go for a 10k run... Its definitely manageable, but use your drs advice, go for slow walks to begin with and don't push it or you will put yourself out even more.. I strongly suggest logging your food, get obsessed with that... anything…

I'm not sure how often you weigh urself, but if you do it daily (u can track on the app happy scales) u will see what the general pattern is... Yesterday I weighed 3 lbs more then today... today I hit an all time low... If I would have been upset yesterday and given up, I wouldn't have seen todays achievements.. Good luck

I'm on predisnolone and those who have been on it will know that you literally feel (and look) like a cookie monster for a lot of the time. sudden attacks of omg, I will actually eat the chair type moments.... I can honestly say the only thing that helps me through this time (and yes there are times when I cannot help…

I have a 5 month old and have lost 10 of the 18 I need to lose (and then another 30 non preg related lbs!) I'm not breastfeeding, have about 1500 calories but burn approx 1000 a day as I pound the streets with the buggy. I am happy for it to go slowly, as long as it is moving.... I'm also on predisnolone which doesn't help…
-
yup predisnolone does make you gain weight as well as messes with hunger signals... I literally see the extra water in my body, watch strap needs to be loosened, sometimes even shoes.. Having said that, with a lot of self control as well as understanding that weight loss may be slower, it is possible! and each reduced mg…
-
No, based on personal experience of being on steroids on and off for 10 years... You have to try and control that hunger (I know, impossible...) and battle through. Even if you maintain in that period, its pretty impressive giving what you are battling with.. Good luck

with baby number 1 I tried this and that diet. When I was 9 months exactly post partum I said enough is enough! I rejoined here, lost 21lbs in 3 months and got to pre-preg. I think I just needed the shock that if I didn't do it straight away, I would get pregnant again and have double to lose!! This time round, I'm 4…

Great! Thanks. Struggling to increase my pace outdoors, despite being able to on treadmill and thought it might be music slowing me down! Will try some of these options.
