  • Lol correct! I don't actually know what super sets is but I know strong lifts has worked for me in the past so why not do it again!! Thank you for your responses, I suppose I wil persevere, make sure I take a reasonable break and see what happens.... Time is of essence when I'm in the gym as I have a 7wk old baby so I need…
  • Ok, so you are saying it makes sense that at the moment when I'm only doing 12.5kg or something like that, that my recovery time is quick, whereas in a month it will take me much longer to do?
  • But from your experience, is that really necessary? I find myself standing around doing nothing for ages, feels like a waste... If it will make it a "better" workout, I suppose I will do it, but just wanted to find out
  • No no, I meant calories on MFP not the Fitbit or else I really would be gaining!!!! TbH, past couple of days, I have been horrific on my diet, like really really bad.... my nephew has bacterial meningtitis and septicaemia, and whilst I know how bad it is to stress eat bla bla, I been doing it in full force this week!!!!…
  • I have had my fitbit for 18months but have recently had a baby so I'm probably more active now as I am walking more with baby etc. I am very careful with my logging (I am normally although today has been a rubbish eating day!!!!) Will try with eating back, meaning I can eat much more than normal, see what happens after 2…
  • hmmm ye that makes sense!!! oh I like my food too much!!!!
  • Have you tried eating them back and you gained, or you are just assuming?
  • Maybe try making yourself smaller goals to lead up to the big goal... I find that if I tell myself that my first aim is to lose 10lb (I have 30 to go) and then treat myself when I get there etc... Either way, the way I have lost in the past (only regained it because of pregnancy) is by becoming obsessed with MFP.. true…

  • omg, definitely every day!!! whilst I know its perhaps silly, it keeps me going, makes me aware what causes fluctuation, water retention etc. EG I know that morning after gym session I am up approx 1.5lb and I'm fine with that...
  • ok, I just looked into the forerunner 225, yup, its exactly what I want, albeit expensive... now to find a sponsor
  • lol so basically, I"m creating something in my head that doesn't exist... hmmmm
  • I lost my first baby weight... And literally got pregnant 4 weeks later R!! I'm now 6 weeks ppt with baby 2, I have about 15lbs to lose... And then a few more but focusing on baby weight first! I find the problem with it all is that I'm at home much more and that I'm much more tired then normal which makes it harder for me…
  • Due to my health I need to restrict calories a lot in order to lose weight so I would like a gadget that measures more or less accurately my HR so that I can eat back half the calories I burn... That's what tempts me about the Charge HR but it's not got the best reviews hence I was looking for something else. If the…
  • I happen to have PCOS, but reason I am posting is because my husband is a scientist, currently working on PCOS and infertility. It seems that all evidence suggests that losing 10% of body weight is always going to help any symptoms... obviously there are more details and specifics, but thats what it boils down to....
  • so i have been looking into the garmin vivofit2 which does both if you wear chest strap... do people wear it all day? will that not be uncomfortable?? n slightly awkward if it needs adjusting in public...
  • Lol you forgot the minor downside of the price!!! This does sound like the best option but despite being a huge Apple fan, I can't seem to get myself excited by the watch, I don't see why it is better then the phone! you are either being rude by glancing down at phone all the time or glancing at watch all the time....
  • Ok thanks for all this! I going to go and do some research! Although currently incapacitated with a sprained ankle (just when I start dieting again!!!!) but if I have a new "toy" maybe it will inspire me to start running again as soon as foot is healed...
  • is there anything that does it using just wrist without cheststrap
  • Ah that sounds good... and can you compete with friends like you can with fitbit?
  • I meant one gadget that would do both, rather then remember to take my Polar with to the gym etc. I also have a newborn baby and often walk her during day which is half exercise, half needing to get out of house, but I don't wear the Polar for that, but one gadget would take that extra calorie into account.... Are they…

  • how long after birth are you? it takes a while before it will start coming off, give yourself some slack. Most people I know gained some weight post baby...
  • I haven't read all the posts but I have had a mix of RA and lupus for 10 years now... I go through my ups and downs but I run about 5km a day now, do heavy weight lifting etc. I do know that when i start flaring I will have to stop and then when it calms down I will start again. I appreciate its not the same as isolated…
  • HThanks for your replies, I'm afraid to say it is actual pain. The ache of walking like a penguin I can handle it's the actual sharp type pains in my back that I can't handle. I suppose I will drop weights and use book/YouTube to help. I may also try asking a trainer at the gym to just watch me to do one set of each…
  • hmmm, I'm not sure about all this! I have been struggling with weight for years. I'm not hugely obese, but always been a few lbs overweight. I tried every diet under the sun, and none of them really helped. The only thing that is now allowing me to lose weight (20lbs in 3 months, despite having PCOS and being on steroids)…
  • wow, thats amazing, thank you so much. My MFP is set to lightly active (because it lists my profession as one of them) should I switch that off? how do I work out my exact BMR using my fitbit? I average about 2200 calories burnt on there and that normally includes a walk or gym or something
  • So I haven't been eating those back at all because I'm not sure if they are accurate. In actual fact, I have noticed that yesterday and today they have been less so maybe it is getting used to me and my lifestyle (does that even make sense) Where would I set it on Sedentary? online?
  • Ya think the weight loss is really in one week? Is it really possible that Mike lost 38lbs? That's almost 10% of body weight! I read somewhere that it's not actually one week, and they make them eat and drink before first weigh in etc... I have a love hate relationship with that program but I can't bring myself to stop…
  • I have tried with Metformin, without Metformin, on BC, not on Bc etc. This is the first time in my whole life (29) that I"m actually succeeding on a diet, and I'm going natural. U name a diet, i have tried it. I am a keen exerciser, I eat healthy and didn't lose. Now that I am down to 1200 calories (more or less) I have…
  • sorry to hijack this post - ( I will give my tuppence worth in a sec) but can you be very strong and not look it or vice versa? can u give some tips for this lean look of which you speak?? I'm losing weight, i'm exercising, I'm noticing a difference, but I want that "no lumpy bumpy' look. whilst I appreciate that its a lot…
