I have used personal trainers quite a few times in my life and I often watch the different trainers before i choose one. I look at those who will offer a helping hand if they are just walking through the gym and see someone struggling with an exercise, I watch to see if they check their phone etc whilst training a client,…

When you compare the calorie count on your polar to the endomondo do they basically match or is it way out?.

Really??? My dr did!!!!! I'm not sure why you are such a high horse about it! My dr, who is a general practitioner, but definitely knows what he is talking about told me to eat 1200.... He said if I don't l lose weight after a month, go down to 1100 etc!! He said there are people who he has put on 600! I think you are…

u mean do all the regular exercise, but sitting down??

Ok, ok ok... before we starting putting down drs, and assuming they know nothing.... (which wasn't the point of the discussion anyway!!) I am on steroids for an auto-immune condition, as well as having PCOS, meaning weight loss is almost impossible, if not very very challenging. He gave this number, said I should try it…

I don't eat because I don't feel hungry and I go to bed not that long after, so don't have time to get appetite back. @Franci27 - I wear an HRM and as originally stated, when I do eat back, its only half just in case....
-
You are 100% correct... except the dr that put me on this diet is away for another 2 weeks... also, a lot of people on here know a lot more then a regular GP. Either way, I cannot/dont want to exist on net 600 calories and was merely asking for advice as to how to eat back. Thank you to those people giving advice, I will…

MFp put me at 1540, i average about 1200/1300 (as per dr's orders) eat fairly cleanly, am happy for u to add me/ look at my diary x

There is no rationale - as in, my Dr has advised me to eat 1200, medical issues, medication etc. I exercise most evenings, as that is only time in my day when I can fit it in. I don't want to eat it back before as I am nervous that if I don't get to the gym that evening because plans change, I will have over eaten.…

what exactly are in your "big" meals that are 400 calories? if you don't eat meat and potatoes and pasta type food come to more then that if it is considered "big" amounts....
-
Ye I thought of doing that, I just like to plan my day so that I know how many calories I need for supper etc. I don't want to go over, but I have absolutely no clue what range we talking about, how much it could possibly be because every place says so different.

We don't know this persons health issues, nor their stats nor anything else! Criticising definitely won't help! I too was told by my dr to find a deficit that helps me lose weight, going down to as little as 600! He is highly qualified, represented all gps in uk for many years etc. I happened to have found that 1200 works…

was going to write my story here to give you encouragement, but decided I didn't want to hijack your post - go read mine, it will make you smile!!! just know, it is possible!!!

Thank you for all your responses! I will attempt not to weigh myself (although I do in am, no clothes, same position etc) every morning, however hard it may be! I need to be on a low calorie, not any "fad" diet, due to my health issues. I suppose I will wait out this weight gain and hope it will continue going down, just…

Weighing daily keeps me aware of where I'm at, and until now has been ok!! I know that steroids can also cause weird water retention as well, I just can't afford to gain at the moment!! I suppose it will have to be a longer gym session for me today

I had a MC before I had my baby... and now post baby I was 20lbs more then I was... I have PCOS, have been on steroids for months and months and am struggling! I want to start trying for a baby when he is 1 (he is currently 9 months) as I know it is likely I will have difficulties as I Did first time round. The first thing…

LearN; Your doc is, of course, correct when he says "....there is ALWAYS.....", ...and when he advises that weight loss is a critical step on your journey. You didn't mention it, but can we "assume" that he also mentioned that the preponderance of recent study results support the hypothesis that: insulin levels (natural)…

I have been dieting for weeks/months/years, but what has suddenly forced me to really keep to it is my 9 month old baby! I had fertility issues first time round, and even though I got pregnant naturally in the end (awesome story, but for another time)there is no guarantee that I will be able to a second time. I know that…

I have read some of the comments above but just want to give my tuppence worth, which I think is different to what others have said! i have always been overweight, all my life! I also suffer from an auto-immune condition which means I am on quite a few meds. I too felt like you - I'm destined to be fat, I have PCOS, I have…

wow good for you!! I have a 9 month old baby, and I want to lose the baby weight before I start trying again (let's not be silly, I"m not particularly fertile to say the least so I will have a long while to wait!) but i don't want to start a pregnancy overweight.... I have 17lbs to lose before the 25 October... Not sure I…

I bulk it up with loads of spinach leaves, cabbage etc because those are relatively low calories and filling! always needs some chilli though!!!

I used fresh tomatoes as well, but it needs a stronger flavour too, which real tomatoes don't do. The Passata normally works wonders... Moral of story, make sure you have all ingredients before starting to cook. Lol I could have a piece of dark chocolate for that 100calories

I have been running for quite a few years, and no matter what shoes I wore, I always got blisters in the arch of my foot... I then found special cushioned insoles, and hey presto, no more blisters... Good luck x

Congratulations! Hope all is well... I"m not sure why the midwife didn't tell you this, but you are not meant to do any formal exercise until 6 weeks after birth. Sure you can go for a walk and stuff, but your body is really traumatised, we don't realise how much our bodies go through. If you start too early it could cause…
