You are wise Tab. You are wise. (and Wii Tony Hawk is not a bad suggestion- I'll put some thought into that one too.)

He works ALOT, is interested in cars and skateboarding, he plays games like Call of Duty and Left for Dead. He has way more clothes than I do.

What should I get my husband as a Christmas gift?

I didn't believe I could run at all about two weeks before I did, and here I am having finished C25K, so yes, I am right there with you! It feels good to reflect sometimes, eh?

Hey Lady! Thanks for the compliment! :P Maybe you and I should start getting out on the weekends and leaving the boys on the computer- you are always interested in going hiking/camping/skiing with us, we will have to just do a better job of leaving the L4D crew at home.

I'm so so sorry. :brokenheart: Just do what you can to make it through, there is no good advice. Feel what you are feeling, take time alone if you need it, take time with loved ones if you need it, and just let those who love you love you. We are thinking about you.

Thanks for all the info folks- that does answer my question. Thanks!

I have heard some folks say that the last 10 pounds sometimes requires folks to pay more attention to their balance of carbs, protein, sugars, fiber, etc- the fine details. I think SHboss wrote a post about what that is at some point, but I can't remember the thread name. Maybe he'll stumble upon this one and drop some…

I'm in this boat with you. It must be a big boat- I hear about this trouble alot.

I'm a pescatarian- in terms of meats I only eat fish/seafood, but I also eat eggs, milk, cheese, honey etc. Welcome.

September 2006 right before my wedding- for a massage. (that applied to the steam room not the dancing question. oops). When was the last time you were nervous to talk to someone?

Last night I just steamed some baby carrots, 1 zuchinni (sp?) and some mushrooms. I ate that over some whole wheat penne with some baked tofu (marinated in soy sauce). It was better than I was expecting. No oil or cheese or anything. Seems straightforward but I've been a vegetarian for a while now and I was feeling stuck…

I think a lot of people have made awesome points. Relationships are all unique. And the most important thing is that there is communication and boundaries. And I think to each their own. Some people (self included) construct boundaries that allow the use of visual images, others do not. ( and I would like to note not all…

Casper! My mom makes a similar thing for dessert- it's bannas rolled in mayo and then rolled in peanuts. She puts it in the fridge and it is delicious. Who would know! She says it's a "country" thing, she grew up in Eastern KY. But man, your post made me think of the delicious, if strange, desserts of my childhood. On a…

Yeah, as everyone said, you ROCK! I hope all that hard work you've put in over the year makes apple picking and life easier and more enjoyable!

You go lady! That rocks!!

#3 makes me sad for my childhood- Watching NL Christmas Vacation was the last time my whole family sat down together and had a truly carefree laugh all together....

In no certain order: Shawshank Redemption Garden State Anchorman But I have to tell you, it's hard to pick just three.

Woot Woot!!! I knew you could do it. You go girl!!!

Thanks folks. You gave some good advice and I think you are right.

While we are talking about yogurt.... I am a reformed yogurt hater. I saw that Food Inc. Movie and got some really excellent coupons for Stoneyfield Farms yogurt from the movie theatre. I thought- heck it's free- I'll give it a shot. It's pretty darn awesome. I eat the lowfat strawberry or french vanilla kind. They do…

I've lost almost 10% of me- and I realized yesterday after my weigh in that I'm only 10 pounds higher than I was when I graduated high school and I used to look at those pictures and long for those days. They're coming back, baby! Oh yeah! Congrats everyone we ROCK!!!!
-
I was in class and sure that the world was going to end. Thanks for posting. It is important to honor those lost today.

My very thin friend and I reccently had this discussion while reading women's health. There was a picture of a woman who weighed 145 and wore like a size 4 or 6. I didn't believe it. But then I remembered one key thing- bones. It's in the bones. My friend wears clothes much larger than I thought she did- but she has a wide…

Congrats on your progress and inspiring your son to take charge of his health!! My husband and I run together. And he is much much faster. Much. Sometimes he slows down and sticks with me, sometimes he jets off and I'm left in his dust. As the slow person in this situation I can tell you I am not bothered when he leaves me…

I got mine at the apple store. Do you have one of those? (the ipod/computer, etc place?) Word of advice- a lot of online places sell a pack with the sensor, and some adapter thingy. You only need the adapter for the nano, not the other models. It's cheaper without.

I've read that the whole fruit can be better for you because it's more filling/satisfying and less calories and sugar since the actual fruit has the fiber etc, whereas the juice is just the juice. However- I think that you are probably safe with your fruit juice on the sugar side of things, because it sounds like it's a…

tofu is also sometimes in the health food section. I like to get the mori-nu kind that doesn't have to be put in the fridge. I can sometimes eat the whole package of tofu for under 300 calories, for the type I buy. But as in all things you must check your own package/ serving size.
