ummm.. it gave me some pretty bad cramps but it is effective. I tend to go with correctol but sometimes I have to do more than one round to get some relief. hope that wasn't TMI. good luck!

Man, I am glad I didn't have to be the one to say this. I feel like I do an inordinate amount of pooh preaching around here!

This is a good question and I have no idea how to answer.

I wouldn't count it either. While it does have water in it the added things (such as caffeine etc.) can have a dehydrating effect and cancel out the water.

well said. I think MFP should publish a book for folks to read that gives this info off the bat.

Well- the science isn't too important. the point is that fat is hard to break down and sugar can eventually be stored as fat and yes you will lose more weight if you don't eat a boat ton of sugar. So bluemax has a point there. Otherwise, yeah, just keep at losing weight and it will eventually get smaller.

ahh yes. I have a tiny Get Up Kids t-shirt that I can wear again! And a few other t-shirts that were my fav's in high school. Unfortunately most of my bottoms were worn out. I can be sentimental about clothes- I was wearing my favorite shirt when I was in an accident one time and the EMS cut it off me. I was so bummed I…

I am totally lost. I was taught in all my biology classes that lipids ARE fats. They are not synonyms?

I love a good challenge, let's go. So 225 dry turns into 500 grams cooked. and x grams dry turns into 225 cooked. so 225/500 = x/225 ( A proportion math equation).... 0.45 = x/225 0.45 * 225= x so 101.25 grams is what you had the first day which is 1.35 portions of a 75 gram serving. So you can add 1 and 1/3 to the food…

I hate to be crude, but I'll be the one to say it. When I camp, I don't like to poop. I get all messed up in my schedule and the toliets are gross and I just don't go like I do at home. So between that and water I can gain quite a bit for no good reason. What ever your personal gain is about, it will even back out, like…

Yeah, you are doing awesome! For sure! I just get nervous when I see people shooting for multiple lbs a week goals. You are setting an excellent example of behavior- awesome changes and attitude and I think you are doing great things. Judging by this post you are going to continue to kick booty and take names. you are…

Then that makes perfect sense ginagn73. I guess I'm already in the pants I'm happy with and if I wanted to wear a bikini I would consider it, so I see your point. But if you could fit into your ideal sized pants and be confident in a bikini at this *Weight* (not size, not toned level but pure number on scale) I bet you…

First off, congrats to the OP! Great job. I agree with others, this is amazing but just be ready for your loss to slow as your success builds. Reason why I quoted this- the OP's ticker suggests a goal of losing over 100 pounds. When people have a lot to lose little changes can make a BIG difference. They should be…

I would agree with others. One day with some poor choice popcorn is not going to wreck your progress. How many cals do you have for dinner? I would suggest a low calorie dinner and maybe a longer work out- or maybe just take an extra walk with your kids/dogs/SO, etc so that you are out and away from food and get some…

Ummm... I think I understand this. My husband does it all the time, but I don't mind. However, we have a friend who is in very good shape and can flex his pecks- he often does it intermittently, like he's winking or something. It's kinda like wiggling one's ears. I think muscles are attractive, but depending on how they…

Ah. Wish I could help. It's been my experience and from what I've seen here- it comes off where it wants to. I wish I had better news. It will come off eventually but it may be some of the last and it may be stubborn. The good news is that while it may seem you are losing it from everywhere else first, you will eventually…

I always get: cottage cheese (2%- used to do fat free but I need more healthy fat) plain yogurt sandwhich slims (bread not that healthy, but these 100 calorie buns come in whole grain and are pretty tasty) Tuna individual packets of frozen fish such as pollock or swaii nuts (different kinds, almonds, cashews, etc.)

Glad you decided to join us! Welcome!

I like this. Most of us get down to a 10 lb goal and we are really fighting with our already healthy bodies over vanity. I have a goal of 125, but I weigh in at 127.2 most of the time. Why do I care so much about 2.2 lbs? To hell with it, I agree. If you are 10lbs outside of "healthy" for your height/BMI etc., keep…

Thanks for sharing, was going to eat beets for the first time in my life and this definitely would have tripped me out!

No kids here but both of my nephews grow like weeds. When my husband and I got together the oldest was 8- he's got a learner's permit now and we just can't believe it. The youngest is working on 4 months and I can't believe it wasn't literally yesterday that I held him for the first time. Time flies. Thanks SoldierDad for…

It's been a lonnnng time for me. Months to get the last 8-10 off and I'm still working. But my goals are very small at this point. Everyone is different, but the last few "vanity" lbs can be stubborn.

Too much of anything is dangerous- running a marathon without proper training is very dangerous even though moderate exercise is very healthy- just ask Philippides- he died after his first marathon. ** Running nerd joke decoded: myth of Philippides is he's the guy to ran to the city of marathon to warn of invaders and fell…

I'm going to say yes, but you may not be very healthy. And sodium may make you lose weight less quickly. And you may be hungry if you rely on cookies and milkshakes to reach your goals. But yes, you will lose weight if you just follow your calorie goals (assuming you correctly set up your goals, starting weight etc.)

Through understanding (understanding we are all human, maybe their motivations for what they did, or their perspective), time, communication, space and a lot of hard work, and in truth, it is unlikely things will ever be exactly the same, but they can get back to a good place. I'm sorry this is happening to you, I know…

Too good to be true? Ususally is. The only thing with zero calories is water and air. I'm not buying it. ** Not trying to be a negative nancy/debbie downer, usually I'm much more upbeat, I'm just quite skeptical here. Real food has energy in it- not zero calories.

This^^ so if you do the math, you may not lose about 1/10 of a pound you were on track to. Most likely you will either just lose less or you will maintain. If you are set to a deficit you are not likely to gain weight (but don't weigh yourself tomorrow morning- often restaurant/bar food is high in sodium and causes water…

Also excellent advice. Maybe there is something you have a mild allergy to that is causing this (I have a friend who reacts similarly to broccoli).

If you have truly been obsessed you now have an equally difficult goal ahead of you- learning to live in balance. Learning to eat without logging every calorie. Learning to stay fit without sacrificing other areas of your life. Learning to let the scale go. You can do it. I'm technically in maintenance but I still log and…
