Just looked at your diary and there is sugar in everything you're eating just about :frown: But it's all different types of sugar. Dairy has natural sugars in it and so does fruit. Your fruit cups with light syrup, I'm assuming, has high fructose corn syrup? Like I said, I wouldn't focus on it... but if it really bothers…

I try not to focus on my sugars. When I get closer to my goal and ((if)) I plateau, then I will re-evaluate macronutrients. I really wish that table sugar and fructose were in separate catagories... I eat a lot of fruits and veggies and I do have a sweet tooth, which I try to limit, but I ALWAYS go over. I don't focus on…

What a cutie! Well done! :drinker:

been there

I have only logged a gain once- When I got back from vacation, I was about 4 lbs heavier than when I left. I didn't log it at first, but I found it hard to get back on track so when the extra pounds remained a few days later, I logged it. I weigh daily, though, so I don't let little gains bother me.

*jaw drops* you have done an amazing job! and you are stunning! keep up the hard work :)

Well done! Getting started is the hard part, glad you found your rhythm! :drinker:

This was my problem... I started to slowly cut them back about half a tablespoon a week. Now I don't care for it very sweet at all... I went from 5 TBSP (for me, this was 175 calories) to about 2.5-3 TBSP (88- 105 calories)...

Nice work! It's amazing how much 10 lbs makes a difference! Keep it up

*jaw drops*!!!! amazing transformation!!!! :drinker:

Ask your doctor and your kid's ped (if you have any) how much schooling on nutrition they had to complete before becoming your doctor

I agree with most of what you said, except the weight loss immediately after birth has nothing to do with mother's milk... a baby has extra fluid and fat to help with stress during birth and that is what accounts for the loss in the first days of life. We grow more in the first year than any other year (well, naturally…

THANK YOU! Afterall, where do we think the cows get it from?!?! :drinker:
-
I did  ... And it is to pass on immunities and nutrients, but it is also to support the rapid growth in the first year. A cow's milk is to support the massive growth in a baby calf- not the second year of life for a human baby. I'm not really trying to argue, I just think almond milk is perfectly fine and cow's milk…

You're absolutely right, I should have added with few exceptions. However, the purpose of a mother's milk is to make a baby fat in the first few months or so of life...

There are plenty of other great sources of protein. I mean, think about it... we're the only animals that drink another animal's milk... and we're the only animals that drink milk past childhood. Nature's intentions? I'm not so sure!

Almond milk has the same amount or more of calcium than cow's milk. It also has more iron, less sugar/fat/calories. It does not contain as much protein, but studies have shown that calcium is not absorbed into the body when taken with a protein source anyway, and we all know there are plenty of other good sources of…

HYSTERICAL! Hey, it's the little things that count! LOL So happy for you, what a great NSV!

What a great idea to take pics every month! Wish I thought of that... maybe I wouldn't be so hung up on what the scale says! haha Phenomenal job :drinker:
-
You look amazing! Is there only 60 days between the two pictures? I gave Insanity a go awhile back and I'm considering attempting it again now that I've lost some weight (wasn't successful the first time). I'm currently doing C25K and thought it might be too much... but with results like yours as motivation, I think I…

My pit bull is 3 and his name is Swizzy. I do walk him, but we usually "run" him in the backyard with a laser. He goes crazy for it and will run miles in 10-15 minutes :)

You have come too far to give up now!!!! Have you measured? Maybe take a break from the scale instead of taking a break from the lifestyle. My scale is certainly not my friend and I notice a bigger difference in my measurements and the way my clothes fit than in the numbers on the scale...

Fantastic job hun! You must be very proud! :drinker:

I don't know if you truly mean binging... I used to eat late at night and I called it binging because I ate quite a bit sometimes, but I watched Dr. Oz's show the other night about binge eating and OMG I don't ever want to feel stuffed again! They showed an xray of before the person binged and you could see all of the…

I felt like that at first. After about a week, I wasn't quite as hungry. My body got used to eating a more healthy amount... Stick with it for a while or consider upping your calories. It may take a little longer to lose the weight, but you need to take your time and make lifestyle changes anyway...

H! I'm 26 with two boys. Feel free to add me!

First off, congrats! You look pretty small to me. Well, minus the bump (love it!) Is ths your first baby? I can tell you from experience, you will probably gain the most weight at the end. I agree ^^^ it isn't very realistic that you'll maintain your weight from here on out. Talk with your OB if you have one, you don't…
