I forgot about Walden farms dressings. I like their Italian one.

I would suggesting consulting a physician. It's possible that even though you're weight puts you in the underweight category, that you may be healthy. Those weight/height charts are not always accurate. It's also possible to not have periods, but still be healthy.

Yes, it is important to log everything, aside from water and plain hot tea. The calories from incidental like chewing gum at 5 calories a stick and black coffee at 2 calories a cup really add up.

Which is better for weight loss, suppressing appetite, cutting calories without being overly hungry?

I lie about how much I eat so people will think I'm normal and not watching my weight. I'll tell them I had pizza but I didn't.

Thank you Rose. My greatest fear is that I won't ever be able to get rid of some of the stubborn fat, but it is a journey, not without it's challenges. I have a lot of faith in you. Keep logging your food and exercising and you will achieve your goals!

Why no eating 3 hours before bed? It has to do with the window of time that your body is actively digesting. If you go longer without eating at night and have a gap of 8-12 hours of not eating, it gives your body time to heal itself. Your body can't heal itself if it is busy digesting food.

*hugs* I'm proud of you for making the first step towards improving your health. You can do it!

I totally understand this. When you feel calm knowing you didn't exceed your calorie allotment for the day, it is easier for you to sleep. It give a clear conscience.

I have my ultimate goal weight of 100 lbs, which is like a dream weight to me. Right now, I'm 122.6 lbs. I was at 115 lbs a few months ago and felt like that was a good weight. My clothes felt comfortable, but I still had fat. Maybe at 110 lbs I will feel good and not need to go any lower. So, right now my goal is 115 lbs,…

I'll take a sleeping pill and go to bed.

This is my favorite yogurt!

This is true. Weight loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise. In other words, if you watch what you eat and don't exercise, you can still lose weight as long as you are in a caloric deficit.

I love this. Thank you for the motivation.

I'm going to try the "eat less move more diet". In the meantime, I don't know if I can get a handle on why I act the way I do in public. I realize it sounds disordered and I don't know why I feel the need to prove to people that I'm just a normal woman with a normal appetite. In private, of course I'll eat less and move…

I love eating prepared foods because you can see the nutritional info right there on the box. No complicated serving sizes to figure out the calorie content in recipes.

My top motivating books right now are: "Unbearable Lightness" by Portia de Rossi, "An Apple A Day" by Emma Woolf, and "The Shift" by Tory Johnson.

I no longer am worried about staying vegetarian. I will allow animal products into my diet if the extra protein will help me lose weight. @Jgnatca, your lunch sounds good.

The Amy's burritos and canned soups are good too, but we do need to watch the sodium.

I never forget. Guess I'm not "normal" in more ways than one. :)
-
What I mean by normal, is eating normally, aka not on a diet.

One thing that I do, which I know I shouldn't is this: When I'm out with others, I'll eat something really fattening and decadent so that they won't know I'm trying to watch my weight. Sort of like what the famous people call DIPE (documented instance of public eating). In other words, I like for people to think I'm just a…

I know this is an old thread, but I'm always looking for weight loss advice. LOL.

Thank you. I think what I need is a meal plan that's filling with a calorie limit of 1200. It doesn't need to be vegan or vegetarian even, just low calorie. I didn't mean to say I was looking for a diet, because it's not something that I plan to be doing temporarily. I'm trying to figure out how to change my eating for…

I like to snack on the single-serving size of Sabra hummus with cut up bell peppers and baby carrots.

I would like to join.

I would like to be a part of this. I know it's late, but I need to lose some weight. I'm 5'4", 123 lbs. Goal weight 113 lbs for Memorial Day. Let's keep it going afterwards. My ultimate goal weight for July 4 is 103 lbs. Please help me stay motivated.
