Thank you.

Yes, this is true. It is easier to follow a plan than to try to figure it out on my own,
-
Thanks for responding. How many calories do you allow yourself each day and what do you eat to make up those calories?
-
Momjogger, thank you for your advice. I like your snack ideas. Fruit, vegetables, lean meats, eggs, and yogurt sound like reasonable suggestions that I can incorporate into my diet. So, would you say you do low carb? Do you eat cheese?
-
Yes, it's important to log every single thing. For example, I used to not log gum until I found out there were calories in it. At 5 calories per stick of gum, it can add up.

I'm hopeful to see a loss tomorrow. After two days of nothing but liquids, I think I should start to see some small progress.
-
I'm not looking to give up. I'm still in it, but feeling discouraged because I haven't lost any weight yet, so I was wondering if there was something better out there.

I just started the Almased diet. Today is only my second day. After having only liquids yesterday, you can imagine how frustrated I was when I stepped on the scale to see the same exact weight. Are you still using Almased? How long did it take you to see any results?
-
What did you do to lose the weight?

Could you invest in a treadmill? I love mine! It is a lower-end model I got at Sam's Club. Don't remember how much I paid for it, but it helps keep me going during these frigid months.

I am looking for someone to adopt me. Ideally, my mentor would be someone who can teach me about weight loss while being encouraging, but also harsh at the same time (tough love). I recently came back to MFP after putting on 10-15 pounds in just a couple months. It is frustrating because none of my clothes fit me anymore.…

I would love to join you! I will also stay on track by keeping my calories low. I am not a member of a gym, but I will be more consistent with my workouts by running on my treadmill at least five days a week. Let's motivate each other!
-
I will do this!
-
I have similar goals to yours and I've been struggling to lose weight for a while. I finally got under 120 with lots of hard work but I still have a ways to go. You will feel hungry often. Feel free to friend me on here so we can support each other.

Because egg whites are low calorie.
-
If I get something not healthy, I'll just eat half.
-
How about this: Egg white fiesta omelet (no cheese), sliced tomatoes, and dry toast?
-
Thanks. I think egg whites and chicken breasts are good choices, but not sure about the orange juice. Isn't it pure sugar?
-
Bacon is a major fear food for me. Too much fat and cholesterol.
-
I feel this way too. I love my treadmill. I really recommend it. There are so many benefits. Like you can use it when it's too hot or cold, dark outside, or just when you don't want people looking at you.

Thanks for your feedback about the military diet. I just started it today. Had breakfast and lunch, and I'm not even hungry. :)
-
I am on day one of the military diet. I'm using this to jumpstart my weight loss. As I plan on following a low calorie diet for a long period of time, I think will be okay. I mean, it's a reasonable amount of food. Not too much, not too little. I plan on working out as well. I have about 20 pounds to lose.

Sometimes when I feel hungry, I find that a warm beverage helps. Coffee, tea, or broth. If you're dealing with stomach grumbling, sometimes a Tums tablet will help.
-
Vegetable broth or hot tea.
-
How do you keep your avocado fresh (not turning brown)?
-
Thanks, but I was looking for something a bit more filling.
-
Thanks for all the great ideas! I'm going shopping for food this weekend and will have some of these lunches during the week.

Anything, just low calorie. I'd like to structure my day with 300 calories for three meals, and two snacks at 150 calories each for a total of 1200 calorie per day meal plan.
