If you aren't a member of a gym, and want to lift weights, break your routine into upper body exercises and lower body exercises. For the lower body, do squats and lunges. My son, age 40, lost 95 lbs over 9 month period by logging his calories and doing at least an hour of cardio 6 days a week. My guess is that you are not doing enough cardio.

That you posted all this information about yourself shows you have what it takes to start this program. I have been tracking my calories and my physical activity for about 3 weeks and have lost 3 pounds. Stay w/ it and it will work for you!
