  • Haha, yes exactly, I think it's very threatening to a mans ego. Personally I think it looks amazing, it shows a hell of a lot of hard work and determination and a lot of us can only aspire to one day looking this way. Some women think they will pick up a barbell in a gym and sprout enormous 'manly' muscles the next day…

  • I'm eating low carb/ high protein. Set my macros to 40/30/30 (P/C/F) on the goals section so I try to eat around 140g protein, 100g carb and 45g fat. I tried to do Paleo for a while but completely cutting grains does't work for me! I ended up craving white bread (don't even like it!) and sugar and had no strength to lift…
  • Crispbread as a replacement for actual bread. 16 cals, 4g carb per crispbread
  • I meant to quote the poster who was complaining about there only being 6g protein per cookie! Might try these tomorrow, hopefully they'll satisfy my sweet tooth! Thanks again!
  • There is protein in the oats, the peanut butter (at least 4g per tbsp if it's good quality) and obviously your own protein powder so there is probably a lot more than 6g.
  • They look great thank you!
  • I was asking the same questions a few days ago as I was weighing the same if not more after a work out especially after weight training. Thanks for the articles guys, I think the world should read them it will radically change our perceptions and obsessions with a number on a scale (easier said than done I know!)
  • I usually have a slim fast shake in a morning (which look to have about the same nutritional value) as I don't really enjoy eating first thing in the morning. I use them for the milk, vitamins and nutrients but they are really high carb full of sugar!! So I just got a kilo bag of Myprotein Impact Whey Protein (choc mint)…
  • Thank you for this, wish I'd have read it sooner. :blushing: Will definitely push through it and the scales are going in the cupboard. Thanks for all your replies!
  • Great thread, some good meal ideas here! I'm trying to eat as close to a paleo diet as possible, basically as clean as I can keeping it low carb/high protein, whilst lifting weights, but I'm only managing to eat around 1200 cals and on the days that I run my net is about 800! I don't want to add junk to my diet just to…
  • Thank you for this post, I think your pictures are testament to the truth, your transformation is awesome! Well done on all your hard work. Am about to start lifting and this is great inspiration!
  • Thanks for the welcome! I'm looking forward to it, going to start Paleo too just to see if I can manage it although I have a really sweet tooth so I'll have to see how that goes!
  • Hi, I'm very new to MFP this is my first post so don't really know what I'm doing! I'm 27F 5'6'' 150 pounds. Dieted since early teens, you name it I tried it, always come back to around 155-160 ! Quit smoking early February and within 4 weeks None of my jeans would fasten, so here I am! I have been running 2-3 times a week…
