Trust that you have a human body that will respond like a few billion other human bodies. Better foods and more exercise will get you to your goal, it just takes time.

Since you are eating nothing now, start very slowly. Perhaps a quarter or one eight piece of good toast. Maybe a glass of juice. Or basically anything you think you might like. Or you could try a non traditional breakfast food like beer. ;-)

I threw away all my clothes like that. I need to buy a pair of goal weight jeans and something half way in between.

Yep, look hotter ~ feel colder or is it, it is better to look hot than feel hot . . .

I have had some of those sudden dips and a week or so later a sudden increase of almost the same amount. I hope it doesn't happen, but do not be discouraged if it does.
-
Congrats on reaching that goal.
-
And I whine about trying to lose 40. Best of luck the rest of the way
-
Congratulations.

LOL. I am a teacher and it is a problem. I've tried some of the otc stuff, but so far not much help.

Fresh caught red snapper, crab cakes, and a salad mix from the South Padre Island farmer's market. You caught me on a good day.

Do your own planning. Even following what you were doing. The mobile ap really helps as well.

First all, having family to encourage you may be a better motivator than a surprise. Fill your plate with the better choices, smaller portions of the higher calorie stuff. Leave some on your plate. Don't worry about a day or two of missing your goal.

Seems kind of strange there are no media reports with that name. No other hits on google except your post. No Amber Alert. Nothing in the Houston Chronicle.

 Cheat. Enjoy. Walk a little more the coming week. Life is too short to not splurge occasionally, like at a birthday party. :flowerforyou: the Chicken Bryan looks pretty darn tempting, you can have fun and not feel guilty.

I remember the Halloween to Christmas weight gain and am determined to avoid a Valentine's fat attack.

How many people caring does it take to really make a difference in someone's life? Most of us will pass dozens or thousands of other people today. If half care would that be wonderful? Yes. But not realistic. In the end, one person caring makes all the difference. Out of those thousands, one person truly caring, not just…

^^ great observation. But at my store, the ice cream is along the outside wall ;-)

I can be discouraged when I do everything "right" and the scale doesn't move. I can be encouraged when I do everything wrong and the scale suddenly dips 3 pounds. I can look in the mirror and see no change after losing 20 pounds. I can smile when people say how different I look. I can pass on high calorie / low…

After several months here, one thing I learned is everyone is the same and everyone is different when it comes to weight loss. I've tried to stop thinking about next weeks weight or even next months and just focused on doing the things I can continue to do for a lifetime and trust the results will (eventually) follow. You…

Thank you. Knowing I'm "normal", well better said knowing that others lose weight the same way I seem to be is comforting.
-
I did move my calorie goal from 1800 to 1500, but was barely staying within that, or even going over. I'm trying to pay extra attention to not going over to hopefully make this loss "stick".

Same thing here, it took me 20 pounds to go from a 40 to a 38. My goal of a 34 seems impossible, but maybe not after reading these comments.
-
Awesome! Just remember the next pounds might not be that easy. Hopefully it is.

Sometimes it will be high, sometimes low, and sometimes exactly right. By tracking input, output, and results, you can make adjustments that work for you. I always assume these are estimates.
-
Interesting. I haven't had anyone comment about logging the calories, but I have had people comment on my food choices. I coach middle school sports and our restaurant choices are basically fast food for away games. I skip the fries and add a side salad. I try to model a half way better food choice so the kids see…

Same thing happened to me and all of a sudden 5 pounds dropped off in one week. I'm guessing it was fluids. Keep staying under your calories, be extra accurate on logging what you eat, and it will work out.

Obviously I do not have first hand experience, but wouldn't a medical supply place have bras with two different cup sizes? Pardon my ignorance if that is just too weird of a suggestion.

Teach Kids, not history (it reminds me daily what I really do). When elephants fight, it is the grass that gets trampled (helped me to survive a 25 year business career) When the student is ready the teacher will appear. Walk it off

Congrats.

Monday morning. I will also sneak a peak during the week, but count Monday to Monday as my standard.
