Also keep in mind some of them may have had weight loss surgery to aid in that loss and may have not made it public. I had the surgery in October and technically a slow loser but I've lost 46 lbs since then. Others that had it around the same time have lost a lot more then I have and some less than me. Everyone's journey…

I have PCOS too and it has been a hard battle. It is very easy to gain weight and very hard to lose weight. What my doc suggested to me was that I would need to work out at a moderate pace an hour every day to maintain my weight so I needed to do more then that. Either more intense or longer workouts. The other thing was a…

Feel free to add me. I like all the motivation I can get and try to give as much as I can. I am in my forties with over 100 lbs to lose so I will be here awhile  .

I am just beginning this. I called insurance today and they said I need a six month weight loss program. Is this just going to your doctor and being monitored as you do what they recommend or do you actually have some special weight loss place you have to go to.

Hi! I started with myfitnesspal a couple of years ago and lost about forty pounds. Wasn't easy and took a lot of work. I suffer from extreme depression and anxiety and the doc had changed my meds. Well I was tired all the time and hungry. I stopped working out and gained all the weight back plus another 20 in about 6…

I did it! I took the big step and went to the gym today. It was scary facing the fact that I am no longer the person who could do a jog/ walk 5k on the treadmill. I started with a goal to do 20 minutes really slow like 1.8 slow. Took a one minute break at the 10 minute mark. Rested in the sauna then went out and repeated…

Hi group! Feel free to add me. I am looking for people who also have mental health issues and can relate to the struggle it adds to this getting healthy thing. I have major depressive disorder, gad, panic attacks and agoraphobia.

Is this still an active group? I am finding that my mental disorders are directly affecting my diet and exercise and would like to find a group that can relate to my posts. A litlle about me...I have been diagnosed with severe anxiety disorder, panic attacks, depression and agoraphobia. I spent some time in the hospital…

My weekend has been bad too but I am taking the "live in the now" approach to it. Tomorrow is a brand new day and a new chance to start over. Don't dwell on what has happened as you cannot change it but you can make the choices you want tomorrow.

I have two scales in my bathroom. One is an old digital one that I get on daily to monitor my ups and downs looking for trends. The other is my Withings scale I got for Christmas last year. I only use it for official weigh ins as I have it set to automatically update this site.

I have the deficiency too but just take a vitamin d supplement

Don't give up! It happens to all of us. We have days when we throw it all away...just remember tomorrow is a new day and a chance to start over. Don't dwell on what has happened instead look at your future!

Welcome to MFP! You sound a lot like me when I started last year. My first step was to walk more. I got a pedometer and tracked my steps and would try to increase them by 500 each week until I got to the goal the doctor wanted which was 10,000. I would walk after dinner for about ten minutes. Was really all I could take at…

Love these!

The holidays are always hard. I set myself a goal to not gain any weight during the month. I weighed on on December 1st and let myself eat what I wanted to but still tried to be concious of it and kept a close eye on the weight. If it seemed to try and creep up then I would add a short walk or cardio of some sort into the…

I sadly must remove my pledge for the month of August. My back has been in a lot of pain and I have not been able to exercise much at all. I am moving but at a very slow pace. Even the turtles are faster then I am right now :) Hope to be back next month.
