  • My thoughts exactly. The first round I tried eating my base amount (I didn't know to eat back exercise calories yet) and I pretty much starved until I figured it out. My body felt so much better once I upped my calorie intake.
  • This is my second time doing Insanity, and I didn't follow the food plan as well as I should have last time. I lost 35 pounds, but not until the second month, and I feel like I could have done better. I basically ate whatever I wanted to because I was always so hungry doing the program lol. This time, I'm focusing more on…
  • @Nettie: It's okay! I'm around a lot of pregnant women at work lately so I am totally used to preggo brain now. To refresh, my title is Toddler Twos Director and basically I teach and care for 12 two year olds. This morning, I woke up with a horrendous migraine so I went into the doctor. We switched my medication, I got…
  • Thursday Truth: I am having a hard time with my body image today.
  • Thank you all for your condolences. I have not heard any details of a funeral yet. I am sure they are still waiting on autopsy results. My guess is heart attack. He was very unhealthy, unfortunately. Today at work we have been organizing our office. It is really starting to feel like my space now. After work, I went with a…
  • I certainly remember that!! I was dripping sweat from everywhere just like the people in the video!
  • I am an Insanity graduate. I tried my best to follow the meal plan, but I was definitely eating 5-6 small meals a day. I also drank Shakeology every day (I had the challenge pack). I lost 35 pounds. I probably could have lost more, but had to take some time off due to injury and I wasn't on the meal plan 100%. You will get…
  • ^^ This. Especially for antibiotics. I know a lot of people have a lot of anxiety going to the doctor, but my nurse practitioner never brings up a negative about my weight. They know I work out, so they just ask what kind of activities I do. Her assistant (or nurse or whatever) always says when I go to get on the scale…
  • @Karen: I could try to get him to only get Mountain Dew, but then I would probably complain that I haven't any pop lol. Ben and Jerry's is something I always ask for, but DH says it's expensive. @Robin: Yes, if I want to waste 2 hours of my day, Pinterest is usually what I go to. @Susan: Are the cones from McD's good? I…
  • Good morning, I haven't been on my computer recently because I took the work iPad home and I've been playing with that. I can't download any other apps because I don't have the Apple store password, but I like to Pinterest on there. Yesterday I broke in my new runners. My feet feel so great in them and I have little to no…
  • Wednesday Wish: I wish people would turn in their paperwork so I can actually schedule them in my program. My first week at the big girl job is stressful, but I think I am handling it as best I can. One of my peers told me I was doing a good job. I am excited for my first big girl check though!! I am dying to go on a run.…
  • Crap. I keep writing a post and exiting out. Foot still healing. Hoping to run on Friday. My headaches finally went away today so I did some housework. The bathrooms are finally done and I got around to cleaning up our room to vacuum.
  • I thought I posted but I guess not. Today I caved and ate a bunch of cookies. So my diary is almost a whole day's worth over calories. I almost didn't log them but I had to be honest with myself and my accountability friends. Tomorrow is a new day. I got new running shoes last night, not sure if I said that. I went with…
  • Hello all. I am enjoying my new job but my companion (old boss now coworker) will be out on vacation next week. This week, I scheduled three interviews, 2 of them didn't show and the other I hired. It's been a good week in limbo. DH and I are in a bit of a tiff today. He had a bad day at work and is taking it out on me,…
  • I am tired and have a cold so will be going to bed early tonight. Hitting all my goals. Feeling those lunges I did yesterday. Run this morning was great.
  • I am changing my goal to being under my calorie goal. Keeping track of the macros is just too difficult this time around. I made zucchini bread with a giant zucchini I got from the garden. Unfortunately, I think I mis-measured the flour when tripling the recipe and now the bread is subpar. Oh well, Guess we get to keep…
  • Thank you everyone for the well wishes for my gma. As far as I know, she is still in ICU. Yesterday I went for a lovely run. I have been running in a different neighborhood, fancier with lots of woods and expensive houses. Saw lots of bikers, walkers, and runners along the way. Today I plan to do some strength training and…
  • I was able to fasten my bra on the second row of hooks. Yay!
  • Saturday Success: We let my staff know about my promotion yesterday. Everyone seemed really excited about me getting the job. Also, the big boss is going to let me do the haunted house this year. Friday Fitness: I didn't do anything yesterday, I had company over. Last night my grandma got admitted to the hospital. She had…
  • Time is getting away from me so I'm just going to post really quick. Was going to run this morning but couldn't find my pants (they went down to the laundry) and so I'll run tomorrow. I refuse to wear my shorts now. I don't really understand the August challenge formatting, so I'm just going to say that I want to be under…
  • @kah: I haven't drank milk in over 2 years. I do not eat Ezekiel bread because it is expensive, but I have been wanting to try it. For now I just do whole grain. I like almond milk but do not like to drink it straight. I still eat ice cream and such when I want to, just have to be careful. Monday- C210K w10d1 DONE Tuesday-…
  • I almost made it!!!
  • @Robin: I just caught this post, yes our meals turned out great! @Aimee: So far so good on the tummy front. I can feel my abs stronger and my insides much more calm now that I've said no to dairy. @Karen: WTG on meeting your goal!! And yes, the ab work seems to be helping my running and no dairy is helping the rest.…
  • Trust me, I would, but I honestly only have $15 until Friday. Hubs had to give me some money for gas and lunch for a conference tomorrow.
  • Don't think I will make my goal this time. I took a week off last week due to knee issues.
  • Monday Check-in: I have successfully gone dairy free for one day and my stomach is already feeling a lot better. I ran this morning and it felt amazing. My knee was getting a little sore, and so I am still hoping for the promotion to come through because I will be rewarding myself with new shoes. On that front, the big…
  • Sunday Share: We were camping this weekend, hence my absence lately. It was a lovely little vacation. My stomach has never been angrier with me. Saturday morning I woke up feeling very nauseous and bloated, and my whole stomach was sore. I chalked it up to all the ab work I did when DH and I lifted on Wednesday. It is…
  • @Teresa: Being positive and nice to yourself is a good habit, but a difficult one at first. It took me a while to be nice to myself and look on the bright side, but now I can apply it everywhere in my life! @jtconst: Sorry to hear about your foot. It is tough being active when you are in pain. @Mommy: Welcome!…
  • I have a 14 year old sister who taught me to think positively because of her negativity. I see it in my mom, which explains where it creeps in. She is beautiful, a very talented artist, and athletic. I am strong, dependable and a great friend.
