Everything in moderation. I have sweets or chocolate once in a while, and just log it. I have more of a salty/savoury tooth.

I don't have a gym membership and always work out at home. I do a circuit training dvd (usually Jillian Michaels) 3 or 4 times a week and a pilate dvd once a week. There is tons on youtube also. I walk at least 10000 steps a day. Add that to a "mostly" clean diet and you are on your way :) ETA...when i watch tv i jump rope…

Me too:) Add me if you like!

There are still foods that I can't handle even though I've tried them more then once. Salmon. Eeeeww.

Funny you mention salt. I have stopped using as much in recipes as I find a little goes a long way. My hubby on the other hand has noticed the lack of it and grinds it onto most of my homemade meals.

I understand where you are coming from. I lost very rapidly at a very low calorie diet with exercise and lost a ton of weight. That was 2 years ago and I gained it allll back. Honestly, you need to eat more than that. I eat anywhere from 1400 to 1600 a day and I am losing, slowly but surely. You have to ask yourself, "Do I…

I went waaaay overboard this weekend and still managed to lose 1lb. Something that seems to be working for me is that I don't normally eat all my excercise calories back (I still eat some mind you) and it makes up for days in which I go over. Drink some water and try walk a bit more. You can do this! :)

I am the opposite, I find it hard to resist salty stuff! Just have your 2 fun size bars a day & fit them into your calorie budget. Something that works for me when I know when I will be around temptations is to either brush my teeth or chew gum. Good luck :) :)

I wear my fitbit from the minute I get out of bed until I go to bed and put it on the charger, repeat in the morning. I don't usually eat my exercise calories back because I tend to splurge here and there throughout the week. It was just odd to me that I had burned that many calories already at that time. According to my…

The only exercise I log on fitbit/mfp are any circuit training dvds, and I always log from the exact time I started until the exact time I finished. Thanks all for the replies :)

Woot!

I have probably walked total for the day about 45mins at a quick pace (walking dog, walking to the store) , the rest was just daily activity. Could it be that I really burned that much??

Thin crust pizza with the works, hot wings with blue cheese and a bag of Ruffles with Helluva Good. OMG .....drooooool ;)
-
You are going to love your fitbit! :) The only thing I log on mfp is the start time and finish time of any circuit training dvds I do. I let fitbit calculate the rest through my everyday activity. (ex walking, etc.) I believe my settings are at lightly active.

It just sucks when you think you are within the bmi for "average" and you get in that mind frame...then you step on the digital and you are STILL overweight. ugh.

Hubby bought a HUGE and I mean HUGE (1.2kg) of Cadbury Mini Eggs last month, I have had maybe 10. Not a big deal for me. But if was a 1.2kg of Ringolos there would be a major issue. :)

Me too!!!!

Great minds think alike:wink:

Good ideas! One that I have found that gives me major extra steps is to take my laundry out of the dryer, put the basket in the centre of the house, and then fold each item and put it away. It takes an extra 10 minutes sometimes but I have reached a lot of steps doing it!

by the end of the day it will even itself out. Just keep on moving! :)
