Welcome to MFP! My advice is to be honest in your food diary - make sure you log every item eaten or drank. If you want to add in exercise, getting out and walking is a great start. :) You've got this.

Whoa, that is one heck of a ride! Good luck prepping for that. :) I"m over here thinking a century ride is going to be tough to prep for, but nearly 1K miles? Wow. Good luck!

Can we hit the 'reset button' on 2020 yet? I'd like my money back. :p @MikePfirrman - I hope the fire stays away and they are able to get it under control soon. @wmweeza - it doesn't sound like you're obsessing. Preparing for a possibility isn't obsessing, it's being responsible. :flowerforyou: Locally, mask wearing is…

Yesterday was a 27 mile bike ride, today will be a short eliptigo session. :)

This morning was a couple of hours spent on the water kayaking with my boys. More fun than exercise, but at least we got some vitamin D. If I manage to finish my paper soon, I might go for a short bike ride (and then reward myself and the fam for a job well done with steamed crabs for dinner). @nighthawk584 - way to go!

10 mile bike ride tonight... followed by a brain workout (homework). Didn't do my normal Monday lifting. DOMs is going to suck if I keep putting it off...

Today was 6 miles on the elliptigo (30 minutes)

Way to go!!!!

Today was a 26 mile bike ride. Beautiful day for it... and I’m reminded why we should always use sunscreen before rides. Lol!

Awesome!

+1 for the head to your local bike store recommendation, help selecting a bike AND a professional fitting. They are knowledgeable and helpful. And if you're going to be spending an hour on a bike, a professional fit will make sure you're more comfortable. A badly fit bike can make time spent on the road (or trail or…

That is totally awesome! Thank you for sharing. :)

20 minutes strength training, 30 minutes on an elliptigo... Those things are WAAAAY tougher than either an actual elliptical OR a bike (could have been due to doms, though). I think I'm addicted.

Just a run today.

Not sure if this has been shared here yet, but I'm avoiding writing a paper and this made me smile

I totally understand your point here, and agree that economies can be rebuilt. But the economy is not just about money and greed - it is also about an individual's ability to provide for their family. Without that ability to ensure families have the things they need, some will die not because of COVID19 directly, but…

This article made me think about one I read several weeks ago which talked about (and had a graph depicting) the uptick in COVID19 deaths mirroring an uptick in total deaths. I went looking for it to share, and managed not to find it, but I did find this one which is almost as interesting:…

There are places doing virtual races (not quite as fun, but still something to train for). Would signing up for those help? I have a friend who qualified and registered for the Boston Marathon that was supposed to be held last month. It's been pushed to September for now. Lots of races pushing the date or postponing. :(
