  • Hey - welcome to MFP, and congrats on your loss so far.
  • Welcome to MFP!
  • I use Strava for cycling - In our cycling club they say 'if it isn't on Strava it didn't happen' which makes me laugh. I tend to use Strava for cycling and MapMyRun for running which I haven't done in quite a while due to injury, surgery, healing, and then over-scheduling. I'm hoping to get back to it this winter once I"m…
  • Welcome to MFP, and congrats on your weight loss so far!
  • MFP definitely helps me to lose weight and keep it off wehn I'm being diligent about it. :) Welcome to MFP. :flowerforyou:
  • Hi Marlo. Good luck attempting meatless dieting. I couldn't do it, but I certainly wish you well there. Is there any reason you're switching?
  • Yes! I've gained a few pounds back and *didn't* stray away from MFP. But doing all the active things is so much easier with the pounds shed. Welcome back. :)
  • I love your intro and spunk. Welcome to MFP!
  • Well, welcome again. :)
  • I've been a bit sporadic with logging lately, but I need to get back to it with a vengeance. My diary is open to friends (so, not exactly public, but if we're friends you can see what I'm eating/drinking). And your 'offer of friendship' is right up my alley. :D Feel free to shoot me a friend request if interested.
  • That's interesting. My macros will only show in the negative if I've gone over my macro goal for the day, but I'm not sure how you'd go over by that much. If it doesn't rectify itself, maybe contact the customer happiness team? Here's a link: https://myfitnesspal.zendesk.com/hc/en-us

  • Hi Sally! What does your program look like, and what are you craving? Some people restrict their food intake a bit too much at first in their zeal to lose weight and end up giving into cravings as a result. Could that be going on with you?
  • Welcome to the community side of MFP. :) What are your goals?
  • Welcome to the community!

  • @Sioranth - I'm a road-cyclist when I am not being dragged onto the trails by my husband. Like you, I find trails somewhat intimidating. There are a few in the area I like though - have you checked out Cedarville state park? The Indian Head Rail Trail? I've never done Rosaryville (ran a half marathon there once - twisted…

  • Sporadic update... but today's was a 22 mile bike ride followed by a couple of hours of wrangling horses. I'm tired.

  • (almost) 1 mile run (in 1/2 mile increments), 1.5 mile walk. Getting there.
  • Short run, followed by yoga.
  • Today was a 1/2 mile run, then working with horses... I'm getting there with the running. :) Still need to start lifting again. @MikePfirman - Sometimes I think fate intervenes to give us what we need when we need it... So maybe your body *did* need an extra down-day. (or maybe I'm being whimsical).
  • Went for a 2 mile walk this morning... of which I ran 3/4 of a mile(in 1/4 mile increments), so I'm counting it as my first post-surgery run. Woot! I'm back!!! Guess I'd better restart strength training so I don't injure myself again running... Coming soon - updates with both runs and strength training exercises... and…
  • Recovering from foot surgery... But today I (finally) managed a 1.25 mile walk in 20 minutes. :) Running is happening soon, dangit!
