Your body needs food! This is really sad.

How much do you drink? I quit drinking when I decided to lose weight because I tend to drink too much. Too many calories in beer and too many bad decisions while drinking. Sorry to be blunt, but if you can't control your behavior when you drink, perhaps you should quit drinking. Try it for a week or two and see how it…

My theory after just a few months using MFP is strictly counting calories in-calories out. Losing weight is so important to health that I don't worry about the particular qualities of what I'm eating. As I get closer to my goal weight I intend to fine tune my diet. I do try to eat healthy foods, but I don't worry about a…

I've been wondering a lot about this topic. Is there any way to know how many calories body building uses? MFP doesn't calculate it for you. I want to start lifting more seriously but my primary focus, at least until I lose another 15 pounds, must be on weight loss. Body building requires more calories/protein to build…

They sound like sensible rules overall. I have it on hold at the library but it's rather popular right now. As I get deeper into lifestyle change, I intend to focus on fine-tuning my diet and habits. Right now, my focus is solely on calorie in-calorie out, and I'm losing weight. For one, I know I eat too much in the…

There are some reviews on newegg.com and amazon.com. The reviews are mixed. Pretty good price through that groupon deal, though.

That is a lot of calories. If I had that many left after dinner I'd have a cup of cottage cheese (200) and a cheese sandwich (230 the way I do it), then if I was still hungry I'd have some popcorn. But I'l probably just leave some calories on the table.

I use them as a buffer if I'm hungry but never set out to replace them. I dipped about 150 in last night becuase I wanted a cookie. I'm set at 1.5 a week and I've been averaging 2 lbs a week over the last 50 days. So, I could eat those calories back but I don't mind the extra weight loss. I tend to eat lightly during the…

A ban on political topics is common on most forums, MFP included. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/welcome/guidelines

I'd like a source on this.

I use them as cushion but never eat more than half. I think MFP overestimates. Runkeeper consistiently gives me credit for fewer calories than MFP does. If you're not using a heart rate monitor, no measure will be perfectly accurate.

Maybe we should raise the draft age! That aside, I started drinking when I was 14 on a summer trip to Europe. It didn't do me any favors. I've been a drinker ever since, sometimes too heavily. I've taken time off here and there just to break the cycle. I'm not currently drinking while I try to lose weight. However, in the…

Trader Joe's sells bottled green tea with fruit flavor that I love. I also like carbonated/mineral water. But most of all I drink water. I love it.

I don't cheat by going over calories. I'm trying to make a lifestyle change, not just starve myself thin. I do "cheat" by indulging in unhealthy food as long as it fits in my calorie requirements. A handful of potato chips, one or two sodas a week, a piece of chocolate. I would hate myself for falling off the wagon every…

4-10 miles on the bike (assuming you're holding some speed and not just coasting downhill both ways :)) would be my day's exercise and I'd be proud of it. If I was three miles closer to work I'd ride every day and never do any other cardio. I rode mostly everywhere most of my time in college and grad school and found it to…

Wow!

That looks like a lot more than ten pounds! Great going, definitely worth the effort.

I'm vegetarian. Feel free to add me. That goes for everyone! Thanks

I was a CJ major. I was a probation officer, then law school, now I'm a prosecutor. Feel free to add me. That goes for everyone!

I ran mine just now. It's about 100 calories lower than MFP. But, since I come up a little low everyday it won't matter.

Welcome, and feel free to add me if you like.

Congrats on the wedding. Still one of the best days of my life. Feel free to add me if you like.

I'm sitting here at 8pm with 400 calories left for the day and not hungry. I'll eat another 200 because I want to respect the counter until I have enough data to know what my weight loss looks like. But, I'm about 200 short almost every day and almost never feel hungry. MFP says my 2040 allowance is 500 short of BMR. And I…

Awesome! The weight loss and the commitment you made and kept.

Try "My Home" then "Profile." That's where I can edit mine now that I have it saved though I'm not sure if it's where you go in the first place.

Great attitude!

199 sounds awesome (so does 220, actually)!
