Tomorrow will make a full week of down time, hard to believe, but glad they're working on it.

Same issue, second full day not syncing
-
Yep, this is my second full day of not syncing between web and app or app and Strava
-
MFP app is not syncing with website but also not syncing with Strava. Website is syncing with Strava fine
-
I'm having the no sync issue but I also can't quick add calories on the website. Quick add was going to be my workaround so not sure what to do

Man Halloween kills me. I'm going full candy abstinence tonight.

Thanks all. I looked back at my calendar and haven't been as consistent as I should have been. I am going to deload OHP and move on. Yoga is very strenuous and I think I discount how much it affects me. I will slow my progression while I am actively trying to lose weight. I did bench press (135), barbell row (90), and…

I'm a binge eater too. There's no easy answer. If it's really bad you should probably seek counseling. I just try to go day-by-day. Good luck.

Since starting Keto 8 or 9 days ago I've had trouble meeting my calories every day I'm so full! I think that's the point. People who were used to binging on carbs like myself lose the desire to do so with so much satiating fat. I'm only a few pounds away from my goal weight and was having a terrible time even maintaining…

If you have a PT I'd say do whatever your PT tells you to do. But you didn't heed that advice!! Personally, I think stretching is way overrated. The best way to get good at cycling is by cycling. Start slow and increase your mileage a little each week until it's where you want it. That said, cross training is vital to…

Since you're sort of starting over, I'd suggest slowly increasing your mileage, no more than 10% a week, and trust your body. Once you're up to 500 base miles, you can start worrying about targeted training. For now, just ride, and take it easy at first.

It's a struggle for me every day not to fall into bad habits. I wish I had embraced that fact sooner in my maintenance phase. Not much I can do but say I've been there too. Hang in there.

Two quick points. First, everything wears out, including pedals and cleats. Try one and if you like it stick with it and if you don't then try the other. Look and SPD-SL are both three bolt so you can keep to a shoe you like. Second, just a quick check online, it seems Look replacement cleats are about 1/2 to 2/3 the cost…

5000 miles (8046k), which is a bit out there considering my schedule but achievable at 100/week. The more days I commute the better chance I'll have. Also, I'd like to move from a 16mph (25.7k) moving average to a 17mph (27.4k) moving average. I'm frankly not sure how realistic that is. I intend to dedicate some time to…

Binge eating disorder can be brought on by dieting, according to Mayo. http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/binge-eating-disorder/basics/risk-factors/con-20033155 It's a problem I've struggled with. I've managed to maintain weight loss, though it has been a constant struggle with binging. Losing was easy,…

Driving to work is the worst part of the days I drive to work. Biking to work is the best part of the days I bike. I only drive when I have to. This is a great list of excuses I actually had to work myself through. I now drive only when I need to go out on business during the day.

To be a better cyclist. Weight matters. Recreational cyclists will pay thousands to shave a pound off the bike here and there, but walk around with a beer belly.

The only "formula" I've found for running calories is here: http://www.runnersworld.com/weight-loss/how-many-calories-are-you-really-burning?page=single NET calories, accounts for what you'd be burning just by existing. Miles x 0.63 x your weight (in lbs.)

I was a patcher until I stated spending more time on the road bike and less on the mountain bike. I've had mixed success patching road tubes. I usually replace them. A patch kit is approx. $2. A tube is approx. $6. If I can spend $4 to save 1/2 hour of finding a puncture and hoping the patch takes, it's money well spent. I…

A couple thoughts. 1) Giant is fully committing to 27.5 this year, so any concerns about availability of parts in the next 5 years can probably be dismissed (see http://forums.mtbr.com/27-5-650b/giant-all-650b-867551.html for a couple of links). Giant is a HUGE frame maker. 2) I LOVE my 29er where I ride, in the Southwest.…

You can get a band that straps around your pants leg to prevent it going into the chain. OR, do what I do, tuck your pant leg into your sock.

394 miles in September. If I'd known I was that close to an even number I would have gone out for a ride! I'm up to 75 for October, will shoot for 500 this month.

Lol, great point. Unfortunataly, I don't make the rules, I just enfoce them.

I have 4. 3 of which I ride regurarly and one I might get rid of. Felt z5 road, Giant Anthem Mountain, and Specialized Sirrus hybrid/commuter. The fourth is an old Fuji hardtail that I haven't ridden since I got the Giant. I wish to acquire a Gunnar touring/cross/sport bike (haven't decided, but it would be my new…

Great work. I'd love to see that many bikes in one place.

Thanks, folks. I was in shape until my early 20s when I stopped "playing outside" and discovered beer. Then came various desk jobs and the last ten years were a wash. I turned 35 two days ago and now I figure I've got 20 great mountain biking years left in me.

The Target Champion (c9?) line is well-reviewed. I also buy at Kohls. WIth their tripple-stacked coupon / Kohls cash marketing scheme, you can get name-brand stuff a buck or two less than other stores.

The only thing I don't worry about is lettuce. 100 grams is something like 14 calories, and 100 grams is a full plate of lettuce. I still record it, I'm just not as particular about weighing it. But fruit is about 100 cal per peice, so that can add up quickly.

Thanks for the responses. The (nearly) unanimous response gives me my answer. No reason to turn my back on something - the only thing - that has worked for me. Back to the grindstone!

.66 x your weight x miles = calories burned (accounting for tdee). I got it from runners world and it works out to about 100 cal/mile, which is the conventional wisdom. I replace my calories burned. The BEST way to be accurate if you're worried about it is to get a HRM.
