  • I like celebrating small victories; it helps with positive self talk and positive reinforcement. What a great post. My small victory was not eating the entire Cadbury chocolate bar, but only having 3 pieces.
  • Hello fellow Canadian friend. I would try going for your walks around 9pm when the sun is setting. Then I have a shower before bed and it feels great. Who cares if others live in Phoenix or North Carolina and it is hotter or more humid. You live by the ocean and it is close to 75% humidity.
  • Walking is your best friend. Also, can you take the stairs at work? Instead of using the elevator take the stairs 2 floors? I'm working my way up to taking the stairs to my office on the 18th floor.
  • I'm joining this challenge. I walked 37 mins and 3.12kms. I want to walk 5 kms/day by the end of April.
  • Clearly, these girls are immature and lack basic manners. Now after stating the obvious, I commend you for working out regardless of their taunts. I hope it didn't keep you down for the rest of the day or prevent you from returning. Congratulations for taking steps to becoming healthier. My wish for you would be to face…
  • Congratulations! You have worked hard and it shows. Doesn't it feel good to have more confidence.
  • Hooray, you had a binge day! Now, don't ruin the glorious memories of fattening food by emotionally whipping yourself. It never works for me (as a tool to not binge again) and probably won't for you. Tomorrow you will make better food choices. I have discovered that if I am going to go over my calories I am going to allow…
  • I feel the exact same. However, I found that if I can't be completely honest with myself this site isn't going to work for me. I aim to post everything I eat and some days I have gone over 1,000 calories. Some weeks I have gone over every day. I lost 15lbs last fall just by staying under my calorie target. Then I got…
  • Instead of worrying about the gym I would walk as much as possible. You can put cans of soup or vegetables in a backpack, go walking for 30 mins and work up a sweat. I use Youtube videos for strength training. Just doing different kinds of push ups and sits is building my muscles. You can find things around your home, such…
  • You just proved to everyone that nothing is impossible.
  • I have been waiting to see your new pictures. Congratulations on your weight loss.
  • To the mum of 6, I want to look like you after I have babies. IMPRESSIVE!!!!
  • Don't give up! If you have to restart 29 times you will succeed on the 30th try. Tomorrow is a new day. I view eating healthy for 1 day at at time instead of 8 months to lose 50lbs.
  • Thank you for sharing your history and what you have overcome. It is like you climbed Mt. Everest with out any help or oxygen; just the pure will to survive. Congratulations on your weight loss and positive attitude.
  • Laura, I'm sorry 2012 was a terrible year. I hope you are able to get some counselling for your mental health as this is just as important as your physical well being. I found that slow and steady is more effective than big loses. Don't set yourself up for failure, as you don't need anymore disappointment For me, the…
  • First off the dress is a pretty colour. Secondly, congratulations on achieving success and sharing. You have every right to be proud.
  • Very proud of you.
  • I have been getting home from work around 8pm this week, normally I get home around 6pm. Is it too late to make supper at 8ish? I'm hungry but I know if I go to bed hungry my body will start using it's fat storage as fuel. To eat or not to eat?
