I do vinyl cutting (with a Cricut) to make decals, shirts, etc. I also sew, knit, cross-stitch, and weave. I sometimes pick at a ukulele (BADLY). I have too many hobbies.

It's also possible that the bike is not appropriately adjusted for your height/leg length, etc. I find that, if my seat is too low (or I ride my son's bike), my knees hurt afterward.

Working out is great to improve fitness, but are you tracking your food? Are you weighing everything to get an accurate portion?
