I'm BAAAAAAACK. Well...I fell off the wagon with a THUD after my vacation over Thanksgiving. At that point, I was at 223. I was at 232.6 on 1/3. I know a lot of it's water (already at 231.0), but...DAMN. Why do I do this to myself. I pretty much lived on junk food and chocolate during the holidays. So.. 40 y/o (until…

I tend to hit second hand stores for clothes, but I scored some bras from Kohl's on an early Black Friday deal for $12.73 each. They had up to a G cup.

I have to say, it takes a lot of guts to say "hey...I was wrong." Keep learning/evolving. We are ALL clouded by our personal experiences, and have the tendency to try to universally apply them to others. It's human nature. Good job on taking this well, acknowledging the knowledge deficit, and working to remedy it. It's not…

Congratulations @Nicoles0305 ! ONEderland!!!! @justanotherloser007 the Oompa Loompas is cracking me up, but SO ACCURATE! I'm in a gain/lose pattern with the same pound right now. UUUUUGH

What specific details are you struggling with. Start with the basics. Log your food as accurately as you can. Don't even necessarily worry about a deficit yet, just start logging. Once that becomes easier, start working on maintaining a deficit.

Dilly beans. No idea why

@sargemarcori I get that it's frustrating to see a number you like on the scale, only to have it go back up resulting in a minor pattern of gaining/losing the same pound over and over. While I KNOW that weight loss isn't linear, I sure wish it were.

I LOVE to bake. LOVE IT. Yesterday, I made cinnamon rolls, and promptly brought them to my husband/son at work so I didn't indulge. My house smelled amazing, but I couldn't rationalize eating so many calories for breakfast. I had a BITE of my husband's.

Great job!!! You look amazing!

I've not reached my goal this time (but I have before). When you have a lot to lose, it's hard to SEE the results in the mirror/your clothes. It all comes off from different places and not where we want it to (my belly for me). I do a few things: 1. Look at pictures. I CAN see the difference if I put the pictures side by…

I'm about 8lbs from being overweight rather than obese. I'd love to see that by the end of the year.

HAVE FUN!!!

Made it. I leave for vacation in 2.5 weeks. I'd like to lose 2 more lbs before then, and then not gain a ton while I'm there.
-
Today, I saw 50lbs down. It probably won't last, as I ate a TON of veggies yesterday, resulting in a...shall we say faster than usual GI clearance. But, I'm taking it. My family is having Thanksgiving dinner today (due to some vacations for actual Thanksgiving). I'm hoping to at least keep it reasonable, but will likely go…

I struggle with self-destructive tendencies as well. Especially an all-or-nothing mentality. I seem to think that one "bad" food means the day is shot and leads to a bad day, then a bad few days, then it's "I'll start again on Monday, the first of the month, etc." This time I'm focusing on progress rather than perfection.…

I love my Apple Watch. I track my steps, exercise, etc., and try to close those rings every day. What I THOUGHT I'd use it for was the above items. What I REALLY end up using it for most often is to ping my phone because I can't find it.

I agree with this 100%. I was told I had bursitis as well. I had old hardware in my hip from a slipped epiphysis as a child. They did a CT with contrast (because my hardware made artifact on MRI) and they found a completely deteriorated labrum, and a flattened femoral head due to arthritis along with a misalignment…

I had to order some new scrubs today. I love scrubs because they don’t care if you gain a few pounds, but they also fit for a long time when you’re losing. My scrubs are all the same size, but some run larger and some run smaller. All the larger are long gone. The smaller now needs replacing.

Currently eating celery, carrots and ranch.

You didn't really provide any information for anyone to help you. Starting weight, current weight, current calorie goals, etc. Are you tracking your food? Weighing every bite that you eat?

I see a Family Nurse Practitioner, and I LOVE him. We've discussed my weight. We've discussed it when it was up (and how it impacts my labs, etc), when it was down, and when it's crept back up. He's super supportive, offers resources (referrals to see a Registered Dietician, etc), and is just overall amazing. When I went…
