I'm 5,4", 128 lbs, around 25% bf and 49yrs old. I maintain on around 2000 cals a day. I lift weights 3 times a week (stronglifts 5x5) with a short 15 min HIIT/circuit workout afterwards and run 3 times a week (for 35-40 mins). The TDEE calculators estimated me a tad lower actually! I haven't reached the dreaded "M" yet :#…

Yep, this^^ is a receipe for disaster OP. Start weighing your food AND yourself (Also, start taking body measurements). Then i suggest (as others have said), start lifting heavy weights and eat at maintenance (to do a body recomp). I use this lifting program http://stronglifts.com/5x5/ (Scroll down to near the bottom of…

Yes i agree with this^^. Wearing a good bra and well fitting clothes should help you look more slimmer...along with a bit more weightloss. A breast reduction seems a bit drastic!

A couple of BBQ'd Chicken Drumsticks, a Burger, Salad and homemade potato wedges. :)

I can't do back squats (with heavy weights) to save my life, so i do front squats (but i can't do the Zercher). When i'm pressed for time, i do this Youtube workout which features the front squat i'm talking about. The Squat she does is at 3:40 It looks a little awkward, but i find it's the easiest squat to do (for ME).…

Yes, i've taken note of what you've all said. Will get my gait checked out and take it from there! :)

Yes, I was actually thinking of going to TK Maxx (UK version of TJ Maxx) tomorrow actually. As they do have good Discounts in there.

Sorry to hear you had a panic attack! Not great, especially if you had weights on your shoulder when it happened. :o Maybe ask your Trainer to take it a bit slower next time!

Ha,Ha,.....Kenny G! Whatever happened to HIM?
-
Not necessarily. I'm a small 128lb female and i couldn't lift 20kg at first, to save my life! Lol The 45lb bar was far too heavy for me. But i'm sure my Sister (who is about 100lbs heavier than me), could ;).

I totally agree with rabbitjb. A rest day is supposed to be a "Rest from Exercise". Yoga is still exercise! OP, why not go out with a friend or family member for a Meal at a nice Restaurant, have some Cake & alcohol too....enjoy yourself!!!

This^^ was an interesting read actually! I need to find out if i can do a chin up! :# Lol
-
Yes, this seems more realistic.
-
I normally eat something light, 30-60 mins before a workout.
-
Yes, this^^. Also, try eating Nuts....they're very calorific.

I started doing SL 5x5 over a month ago and i enjoy it! Here's the link that helped me get started http://stronglifts.com/5x5/#How_much_weight_should_I_start_with ..... just scroll down the page a bit and you'll see the workout schedule. I started out with a much lower weight than suggested though, but i'm progressing…

I just eat the Chocolate, log it and move on. But great, if this helps other people!

We're the same height and eat very similar calories and i'm maintaining. If i wanted to gain weight, i would be eating more Carbs and doing less exercise!
-
Yes, i agree with this^^. There's nothing wrong with eating these things....as long as it fits in with your allotted calories for the day and you're eating nutritious food as well. If you go over, just do some extra exercise to compensate!
-
I would say yes. I'd up it to 60 mins 5 x per week and do strength training when you can. Cardio burns more cals than strength, so imo is better for weight loss. You can always up your strength training once you get to your goal weight.
-
Yes, this ^^. I tried the UK version of Couch 2 5K and the app actually suggests you land on your heels. :/ When i tried it, i started getting hip and back pain, So i did a little research and most people said landing on the balls of your feet or midway is best, to avoid injury. Landing on your heels puts too much pressure…

Bacon on toast with a little cheese spread & baked beans. Very filling.

I probably did what most people don't do.......i went straight from a deficit to my TDEE. So i basically got to my goal weight and went immediately from eating 1600 to 1900. (I just couldn't be asked to go up 100 cals at a time,...too impatient, plus i just wanted to eat bigger meals again ;) ). I even lost 0.5lbs for…

It's a good idea actually. Will be back to see how you got on! Good Luck! :)

I alternate weight training and running days, so Monday i run, Tuesday i lift. I also do a short HIIT workout (15 mins) on my lifting days - Sunday is my rest day. Lifting helps me build muscle and cardio ensures i can basically eat what i want (within reason ;) ).

Lots of good advice here. Definitely wear Headphones and avoid "busy times".

Cool! You'll be hearing from me shortly.

No way Babes. My partner is a 5ft 11, 230 pound Guy and it took him 6 weeks to lose 15lbs! As others have said, it just ain't gonna happen. You're at a decent weight for your height anyway.

Great,...thanks! :)
