Or figure out your TDEE and eat that instead and don't track exercise. That's what I do. Much easier.

This is ****ty advice. Please know something about running before telling someone with knee pain to strike with their heels. Run on the mid part of your foot. Strike should land directly underneath your hips, not out in front of you (heel strike).

Why do people thing potato chips when they think carbs?? Try potatoes (sweet/red/yukon gold/doesn't matter) Rice, pasta, breads If you're as active as you say you are, you need the carbs.

Unless you have a medical condition, sugar isn't that important to track. Stick to carbs, protein, and fats. That being said, I try to get 1 g/ lb of lean mass of protein, .4g of fat per lb of lean mass, and let the carbs fall where they may.

Ugh, this is why I hate cardio machines in the gym. I'd rather hit the pavement. Or have lactic acid buildup the next day.

This is all hogwash. And for the lady getting her panties in a twist because someone said a women's health mag was rubbish, she should really read some actual FACTUAL advice. Sure, a 1200 calorie plan worked for you, but probably because you are eating well below your TDEE.
