  • No someone told me they had been bit by a horse and I wanted to see if anyone knew of horses biting. Its the first time I have heard of this.
  • Most people or probably all people are going to say Polar F6 or Polar FT7. I have the FT7 and I love it. Pretty pricy though. No matter what you buy for a HRM make sure you have the chest strap. This provides more accurate for your calories loss count. A scale??? I just went to Wal Mart and got one. Nothing special at all.…
  • I take out my resting calories each time I work out. Not sure if it is right or not. You are correct that we are burning more calories for a while after but the way I look at it is take the extra calories for any misjudged calories. (banana was actually large but you put in meduim) Just little things like that. Or for some…
  • Why would I only get water retention while I work out though? Also to answer someone else's question, No I m not holding on the the rails. Another answer, yes my hands are at my sides so will try lifting them above my head when it happens again. Or start swinging them. I do squeeze them and rub them but doesn't make a…
  • Not a horrible thing to go over your calories. Nice to fool the body once in awhile, just not to make it an everyday thing. Fix your broken wagon and get back on it tomorrow. When I have super bad days I just make sure I drink about 16 glasses of water instead of 8. Or you can work extra hard at the gym tomorrow. Not to…
  • Go to the Home page on the message board and read the many successful loss stories there. Add tons of friends for suport and when you have a bad day don't beat yourself up. Many questions on here: Do I eat my calories? YES, at least have of them DO NOT GO UNDER A 1000 CALORIES A DAY What type of HRM (heart rate monitor) is…
  • I have the FT7 and I love mine. Not sure what the difference is with the 6 but mine gives you calories burnt and your heart rate.
  • I have only done it one day but from what I have read on other threads EVERYONE hurts for a couple days after. The first day I did it I had to be at work for 4pm and I finished it at 3:30pm and my legs BURNED and I mean burned after. All night the hurt like crazy then the next day I went for a 45 minute fast paced walk.…
  • At the Zumba class I attend some ladies bought head bands and wrapped them on their feet. That seemed to work too.

  • Anyone that you add on here will guide you every day or every other day. I have various ages and weight of friends and they are always commenting on my status or on some else status. So just add friends of friends and keep on watching and reading and you will see everyone is here to help out. WELCOME to MFP you will really…
  • Thanks so much never knew about this feature till you mentioned. I have been calculating them all by calculator and quick tooling them. Thank you again.
  • I LOVE MY POLAR FT7 The chest strap goes to as large as x-large. to really small. I wear mine every time I work out. The actual width of the strap is about an inch. So a bit longer than a sports bra. Its not really that uncomfortage at all. There is a piece that is metal that snaps on the front of it but it sits below your…
  • I got a steep tea and actually it tasted gross. So I drank a little then thought why waste the calories and tossed it. But ya Tims is good :)
  • All I can say is GOOD LUCK! I have the same problem. I am trying my hardest to at least cut back. I started drinking Fuze Shapes. (they have the calorie mark around the neck of the bottle (15-25 calories) the other ones have 200 + calories. So if you try these make sure you get the lower calories. Honestly lots of people…
  • Does it have a chest strap? Thinking the FT7 is the first of the higher ones to have it. I love my FT7 worth the extra $$$
  • I also have the Polar ft7 and live by it too. I love it. It was pretty pricey but so worth it. Remember to take off your resting heart rate of calories burned. Swoopette
  • As long as your happy who cares what anyone else thinks!!! Age is just a number. Sure there is a difference but it doenst really matter. There are a lot worse out there in age difference than you. Keep smiling and be happy is what matters.
  • The best bet is to go to the Polar website and see what it all offers. I have a Polor 7 with the chest strap and I am glad I put out the money. The chest strap makes it more accurate. Swoopette
  • I would think the HRM that you are wearing! Are you wearing a chest starp? I have a HRM and I have a chest strap and when they sold it to me they explained that the strap is what calculates your heart rate (makes sense) I have a Polas HT7. The HRM is against your body. The machines at the gym are used by how many people…
  • Polars are all watch bands. The ones I looked at all were watch band the band around the waste is for a more accurate heart rate thats all.
  • I just recently bought the Polar FT7 and it has a chest strap. I can wear it 24/7 but it would wear out the batteries in no time. The Polars are a good brand. It was suggested to me on here to buy that. It cost me 170.00 canadian to get that one. It tells you your heart rate, plus how many calories burnt. Go to the…
  • I ended up buying a HRM and the differnce was crazy. I was burning WAY more than the treadmill said. By way more I mean about a 100 more calories. Love my HRM. Add me as a friend if you want too! VA
  • no incline nothing different jus the speed. No you don't put your age and weight and all that jazz in thats why you take the 25% off. I am going to head to the city which is a good hour away to this store and buy one even though I can't afford it :( Thanks though
  • Thanks for all the songs. I know have a new play list. Going to the gym to listen to them now. Thanks again. Swoopette
  • Thank you. Got it all figured out now. Putting CW each time I weigh myself. Will that make anysense?
  • Thanks so much I found it!!!
  • Ya I am on concrete floors all day too. Moving here and there all the time. I dont feel a difference at all either but they are really comfortable I agree with you there. Thanks for the advice. Think I might try the reeboks next. But will have to wear these down a bit more at 135.00 a pair I want more use out of them
  • missed the Weigh in. Hopefully will remember to do a weigh in for October and see you there :)
  • When I use the treamill at the gym I take off 25% of the calories it says I burned. Sucks but those machines are not right. So they say to take off 20-30% off the amount they say. So I went right in the middle. Somedays I lose over a 100 calories but it is a bit more acurrate.
  • I have tried before to cut out the coke and didnt last to long. I drink lots of water on top of it. Once I am set into the gym which I am now. Get up 3 times a week before work or on my days off (can spend more time there then) . Those arent a problem at all. It will be the coke. I am an assistant manager at Little Ceasers…
