With 500-900 calories per day, I'd be a pissed off b*tch. I am short, overweight (170-ish), and eat 2,000 calories a day, workout, and am losing weight. I also have food issues (binging problems tied to emotionality), and I get off track too often... but when I'm doing it right, I eat 2,000 (or more) calories a day and…

I do a tabata form of HIIT, and I do it 2-4 times a week for about 10 minutes at a time. That's it. I combine it with some strength training done is HIIT form for a total workout of about 20 minutes. In that 20 minutes I burn right around 200 calories (some days a little more). I love me some HIIT. I also do running,…

As I said--it's unethical to do these "studies" on pregnant women. However, the results speak for themselves. Anecdotal? Not when 100's of 1000's of babies are being born defective all linked to the same drugs! Anecdotal is an incidence equal to the normal incidence [of these defects] in the population of women NOT taking…

There are cures for cancer... but then where would big daddy pharmaceuticals (and ultimately big daddy gub'ment) be if they went and cured the sick?
-
There are NOT tests done on pregnant women. It's considered unethical. So NO. We were all living guinea pigs after being ASSURED of its safety.

In addition to the above... Dr Oz (though his "fat burning" stuff is mostly nonsensical) for the most part promotes naturopathic remedies... which many view as hoopla. Personally, it's my preference. If I can fix it with vitamins/minerals/herbal supplements... why bother with a prescription for something that's…

This is only funny because without Tyrosine, the thyroid fails to function properly. That is all...

I got mine a year ago and paid the 119 (and I had a 5% off code)... but still--YIKES! O.o I could just about get two of them now!
-
I got this one... for 119. It's only 69 on sale!!! Even cheaper if you use the code "VALUEDCUSTOMER" at checkout to save 5%--making it 65.55 (with FREE SHIPPING)! Amazing deal. I absolutely love my ft7. :)…

MFP calculates your deficit BEFORE any exercise. Therefore, you put yourself into an unhealthy deficit if you don't eat those back. Eat them, and enjoy. :) The only thing I caution is using MFP exercise calorie burns. Some of them are far overestimated. :-/ I have a heart rate monitor to prevent this discrepancy for a more…

Doing my own tabata/HIIT at home, I burn right at 10-10.25 calories per minute according to my HRM. I do 20 minute sessions, typically. I <3 it! (37, 5'2.5", 170#, btw).

did you get the steel cut all figured out? They're awesome, aren't they?
-
I like to cook mine in unsweetened vanilla almond milk (30 calories per cup), use steel cut oats and use water to make it thin. After it's cooked, I add 1 TBSP each milled flax seed, chia seed, and some chopped raw almonds. Delish!

I'm one of the newbies at my gym. :-x I switched to Planet Fitness instead of my ladies' gym that I've gone to for almost 2 years now... so I'm one that people are looking at judgmentally. Or would be if it weren't the judgement free zone. :p

1 frozen sliced banana 1/2 c frozen strawberries (more if you want) 1/2 c cottage cheese 1 scoop vanilla or strawberry protein powder 1/2 tsp guar gum 1/3 c. milk of choice 4-6 ice cubes blend together until smooth and creamy. For those who aren't banana lovers--fear not. I don't even taste the banana in this. :)

As I said--I'm quite chesty (DD). I am also a runner, and I workout hard (HIIT, sprints, weights). The cheap ones in a size too small are fine for me. I will NOT spend 50.00 on a freaking bra that is going to get sweaty and nasty and need replacing in a short amount of time. No way, no how. Even if I have to use TWO at a…

my 6 year old can do that (and much more--cartwheels on a beam, tuck jumps on a beam, back walkovers, handstands, back handsprings, etc) not using a wall and she wears cheap leo's from WalMart... :) cheap clothes do not hinder ability any more than expensive clothes make one have the talent to perform these things...
-
I shop for my gym clothes at both Target and Wal Mart--clearance racks!

1870 per day+600 calories exercise=eat the entire 2470. Ideally, I eat 1800 a day plus some exercise calories... and I'm only 5'3''. I concur that changing your goal to lose 1# a week would be more reasonable. Slow and steady wins.

nope. Not the 10.00 a month one. ONLY the 19.99 plan has a commitment of a year. Check out planetfitness.com to verify. Sign up to read the 10.00 agreement terms (you can still bail after reading the terms and avoid the charge). I speak truth.
-
10.00 a month with no commitment. Just have to tell them within a certain number of days that you want to quit, otherwise you will still be billed.

I'm a Bucs fan. We have fizzled out.... :grumble: True blue fan though... I have the tat to prove it.

~W~O~W~!!!! You look great!!

No spaces, and remove the %20.

Was it really beating that fast, like for real? My Polar ft7 will sometimes get wonky and tell me it's doing 220, but I can feel my pulse in my neck, and it's nowhere even CLOSE. It's a HRM faux pas because of interference. If it was TRULY getting that high--especially during rest--go to the doctor. Tachycardia is…

Then why on Earth did you feel the need to call BS on an obviously sarcastic response instead of LOL as I did?
