  • What would you like to join? Looks like you have already joined My Fitness Pal (MFP). Was there a certain group you were trying to join? If you are new to MFP here are some links that would be good to check out. http://fit101.org/the-step-by-step-guide-to-losing-weight-with-myfitnesspal/…
  • Yeah, I've thought about that. But I am not so worried about "winning." I am more concerned about the accuracy of my scale and trying to figure out why one set shows a 3 pound loss and the other only shows a 0.8 pound loss.
  • I am trying to compare the first work weigh in to the second work weigh in. So basically: Work Weigh In 1 to Work Weigh In 2 : I only lost 0.8 pounds. Both would have been in similar clothes and after similar amounts of coffee. At Home Weigh In 1 to At Home Weigh In 2 : I lost 3 pounds. These weigh ins were all on the same…
  • Waiting to eat is ok. It is harder to wait before I drink anything...especially my coffee. But my initial weigh in at work was also after drinking/eating. So I figured I still should have shown a similar weight loss from that weight since it was at a similar time...
  • Chicken Chili! 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts 1 can diced tomatoes 1 can kidney beans 1 can black beans (Some people don't use the black beans but I really like them) 1 chili seasoning packet, preferably low sodium 1 cup frozen corn Add everything except corn. Cook on low 6-8 hours. (You may add water to adjust the…

  • Hello! I've created a group called "Make it a habit!" I would love for you to join us there! We will each be setting our own goals for what task we want to make a habit over the next 21 days. Then each person checks in with the group to let us know how its going and so we can hold each other accountable. The focus here is…
  • Hey! My sister used to live in Greenville. My boyfriend live near Anderson, SC as well. I am currently in central NC but and going to move closer to the BF this summer. I have quite a bit to lose while I am on here so I am glad to have some friends!
  • I am 5' 9" and for me my goal weight is 180 pounds which still isn't "healthy" by BMI standards. I have been there before and it was just right for me. I prefer to be about a size 12-14 pants because I like having a curvy shape. And my boyfriend definitely prefers it that way! But really everyone is different and we…
  • Do you mind if I ask how much it was? I have been thinking about getting a new scale but I'm not sure if it is worth the money...
  • Think about all of the awesome things you have done already! You've stuck to the journey for a whole month which is great! You lost 10 pounds during that month which is AMAZING! You just need to relax and the rest will come too. You should be proud of yourself and happy about what you've already been able to achieve. Feel…

  • Ugh, I did mine so long ago when I first joined MFP that I really don't remember how I did it... I'll see what I can figure out and post again unless someone else comes along first. :-)

  • Working on setting up a group page now. Would you prefer to participate in this challenge on a group page or on a regular discussion thread? or both??
  • Day 1 of my three week challenge: I am choosing two tasks 1) Drinking at least 8 glasses of water everyday. 2) Logging EVERYTHING I eat, even on bad days. These may seem pretty straight forward but for me, if I can stick to these two things for 21 days that would be a HUGE accomplishment!!! I can't wait to check in with…
  • I'll add you! I also started over this week. I think the "social" part of this site with motivational people is a huge help towards being successful!
  • I'm also one that eats out of habit. Going to work in the morning, I would stop for a biscuit and coffee just because that is what I do in the mornings. In the afternoons I liked to get a snack on my way home from work. And of course I never ended up with a healthy option. It always just seemed like I ate those things…
  • Many will tell you that you should not eat things like Lean Cuisine/ Smart Ones etc. because it is a processed food and is high in sodium. But honestly, I eat them anyway because they work for me. Everyone's body is different. Everyone is at a different stage with what goals they are trying to achieve. Sure, eventually it…

  • No, it definitely comes out like PEE-CAN when I say it that way...
  • Ok so when I was younger, I grew up in the north and my parents are from the north. But then we moved to the south and I've lived her for 15 years or so... When I am discussing Pecan Pie (which I love!) I use two different pronunciations!!! I use peCANS in my peCAHN pie. So everytime time I am referring to the actual pie…
  • That is the one I hear most often around my area...
  • I have issues with that one too!!!
  • worcestershire sauce To this day, I am still not quite sure what the correct way to say this word is..............obviously I mean "Worcestershire" and not "sauce". Lol I can pronounce "sauce"
  • Feel free to add me as well! This is going to be a life-long journey and I would love to have more support buddies! A challenge sounds great too. I know one thing I struggle with is being consistent long term. I will do awesome for a couple days and then all of a sudden go nuts one day with what I'm eating. Maybe we could…
