  • I'm 5'9" although I do not wear heels very often. lol Not because I don't want to be taller, mostly because I am extremely clumsy and it is just safer for everyone that way! hahaha The boyfriend is 6'4" and everyone in my family (women included) is at least 5'8" so we are all pretty tall around here...
  • Hello! I am in a very similar boat with my weight as well. I know we can do this! We just have to stick with it!! :-)
  • Hmm that makes a lot of sense! :-)
  • I was thinking like 1400 or so. I wasn't going to go as low as 1200 or anything. I don't think I could stick with it. But I have done about 1360 today for example and could be done eating today. Of course, it is still early yet so maybe I'll get bored/hungry later tonight. But theoretically I can easily be done at around…
  • I LOVE geocaching!!!! I especially love hiking in the woods to find them but it is also great that you can find geocaches in the middle of the city too! They are literally everywhere!!! It is a great way to get you outside! www.geocaching.com
  • Click on the person's name and it will take you to their profile. Then there is a green button there for you to add them as a friend.
  • Yes, its almost like being in denial but you're aware of the fact that you're in denial. Which seems like that should pull you out of being in denial and yet here we are, after gaining back most if not all of what we lost. I just sit here wondering why I didn't stop myself. I knew I was struggling but still ignored it. I…
  • I've always wanted to try Zumba because it does look like fun. But I have always felt really self-conscious just because I have absolutely no rhythm or dancing ability. I might try a video at home though, at night, with the shades closed, and the lights out. lol :-P
  • Oh we have cold winters! And you're right, those days I am not spending 30+ minutes outside with my dog. Those walks are more like "Pee now or forever hold your pee!" and we're back inside. But now that we are in Spring, I LOVE walking the dog.
  • Go ahead and add me to the emotional eater list. My problem has always been trying to maintain the weight that I do manage to lose because as you said gaining the weight is much easier than losing it in the first place. Feel free to add me! I am looking for people on the same track to help keep me motivated and so that I…
  • Thank you everyone for the encouraging words!!
  • But what a great song to be singing! :-)
  • Thanks!! :-)
  • I am also very frustrated with myself and the amount of weight I have gained back! And then because I was frustrated and depressed, I would eat even more! It really is a vicious cycle that only gets worse the longer we ignore it. This time BOTH of us will do better!! :-)
  • Have you taken your body measurements? Often people can not lose any weight on the scale but still drop inches! And dropping inches is really what you're looking for when you try on your wedding dress! Congrats on the wedding by the way! :-)
  • I am also starting over and also feeling READY! I used to have the same problem when I was around my brother who can eat whatever he wants and never gain weight. But whatever, we have to do what we need to do!!
  • Ha I finally got that stupid ticker thingy to update! Go me! :-P
  • Hello! I am starting over with 100+ pounds to lose also! Feel free to add me so we can help motivate each other. It is going to be a long journey and I know I could use all the help and support I can get!
  • I am a high school teacher. We have lunch around 12:30. I try not to snack during the morning, but mostly because admin doesn't want us to! haha They say it is not professional. But I do try to drink tons of water. The kids actually try to use that to their advantage. They will always bribe me, "Hey Ms. Miller, If I fill…
  • Yes! I do this with -Pretzels (sometimes pretzel rods, sometimes pretzel minis and usually the unsalted kind) -Dried Fruit (cranberries, cherries, etc.) -Gold Fish Those are all I can think of right now, but I feel like I am missing something lol
  • Someone may have mentioned this already but the best way I have found if you are having issues with the smell or texture is to "dry fry" them after you have rinsed and strained them really well. Just dry them off, throw them in a skillet, and fry them in a pan by themselves for a little while. It helps dry them out and I…
  • This may be bad, but I only officially log it if it goes down. Then if it ends up going back up, I just leave it alone until it goes down again. Now if for instance it goes up and stays up for a while, or it goes up a lot, then I log it and try to figure out why it is going up. But yeah, I end up logging about twice a week…
  • The lunch box came from Office Depot. But the brand has its own website at www.myfoodmovers.com
  • I would but our fire marshal would never let us do that. We have had teachers get in trouble for things like a mini fridge or a small personal heater (our building is always freezing!) Otherwise that would be very nice to have!
  • I wish it would. I actually used to keep my lunch in the fridge in a cute little cooler lunch bag thing with my initials on it. Someone actually opened the bag, took my yogurt, and left the open bag in the fridge with my sandwich! Really?!?! Not cool!
  • Try myfoodmovers.com I think that was the brand (I've already taken off the labels -_- ) But I am pretty sure that was it...
  • Isn't it just too cool! I was so excited! lol I love Spanish flavors too so that sounds yummy!
  • I found that site the other day! Literally spent close to an hour going through the photos!!!
  • There is a fridge down the hall but I usually try not put keep my food in there if I don't have to. We have had too many instances of food "walking away." And the sad part is we think it is probably another teacher!
  • HAHAHAHA Mine would be a Margarita! But that is an AWESOME idea! Too bad I would never get away with that! lol
