  • Feel free to add me. I'm 5'2 and started at 166 and am heading towards 120-125. I currently am at 154.5 and hoping to keep going at a steady pace. Making me a new person for Christmas. :) Like everyone say's , because we have little to loose it will take longer to get there but in the end it's worth it. Brittany
  • I am joining the club. I have been battling Depakote aka Depabloat weight since last December. I started at 126 pounds and ended up 2 months ago at 166 pounds. Yes I was not eating the best but honestly it wasn't any different from years previously. I finally talked to my Dr and told her that enough was enough and I…
  • Woo hoo. Did not know I could do that. I just fixed it. Now it really does show how much I've lost :)
  • Well my tip is water. Honestly when you feel hungry drink 16 oz of water ( not diet pop or juice) and wait 20 minutes. If you still feel hungry then find a high fiber or high protein snack and have 1 serving. I prefer celery sticks, peanut butter and raisins, it takes me back to child hood. Or if you'd like a small piece…
  • 1. Drink AT LEAST 8 glasses of water EVERY DAY - our bodies are primarily water and WILL NOT FUNCTION without the proper amounts. 64oz is an absolute minimum daily intake just for your body to function - so how do you expect to lose weight if your body is dehydrated?? I do this every day. I have one of the huge Starbucks…
  • As for the weight gain, I don't know if it's because it slows down metabolism or if it just made me eat more. I honestly couldn't tell you all I know is my body now believes that I should weigh 160 :( I am bound and determined with the help of my psychologist and medication changes to get this weight off because it's…
  • Well honestly, I saw a picture of myself and thought "wow what a face face". Mind you I'm only 20# overweight but I definitely have it in my face, and *kitten* lol. And then this last weekend my husband and I had our 6th anniversary and he took a picture of me and I wanted to vomit. Seriously I look totally different that…
  • Well nice to see I"m not the only one who's bipolar on here. So here's my story. I've been bipolar since 14. At that time I was just diagnosed with severe depression, the Dr. didn't take into account my massive twice yearly mood swings where I would be manic. Not manic to the point of going off the deep end and going…
  • Yes I would love to start the Shred with you. I have bought the dvd and have done it a couple of times but I would love someone else to work with. Please add me guys!
  • I also need accountablility as I can't keep myself motivated.
  • Thank you all for your insight. As for the question of not eating breakfast, technically the 12am-8am is my Dinner as I work nights, so that makes anything from 12pm-8pm breakfast and 8pm-12am lunch. It's very strange I know but since I work nights it works for me better that way to log it. As for getting more "milk" type…
  • Just an FYI I just picket up the 30 day shred for $9 :) at Target. Check it out, it may be cheaper than online. I start the 30 day shred tomorrow and I also have a Zumba fitness class starting this week.
  • Yup I'm a shorty :P I'm 5'2" and well I started at 160 :( I'm down to 152 but with changing medications that cause me to gain huge amounts of water weight I'm fighting a constant battle. Last year I was down to 135 :P and meds changed for the better and I ballooned back up. I'm a work in progress. My goal is back to 120 or…
  • LOLers this post is amazing! I can just imagine the look on my husbands face if I had a HRM on O_0
  • Wow DownHomeGal are you sure you're not a clone of me?? I've been married for 5 years to my husband whom I've known for 14 years ( I was 12 ), he's a Mechanical Engineer. I'm a Veterinary Technician at a 24 hour Emergency Clinic (42 hours of work in 3 days- 3 sweet 14 hour shifts) I have no kids but am "mom" to a 5 year…
  • Ok so I have been SUPER bad this weekend. I mean Friday/Saturday not that bad mainly cause I slept all day Friday so I could be a "real" person on Saturday but forgot that I had to work an extra night shift Saturday so pretty much didn't eat a whole lot for 2 days. Then Sunday I ate pretty good. Monday though OMG, I made…
  • Thanks guys for the great link www.exercisetv.tv looks great! I'm gonna have to check it out when I get home and work my *kitten* off. ATM work is super boring and well I'm pretty much sitting here doing, well not much. But I have to stay by the phone and look presentable in case of an emergency. Eh dogs don't care if ur…
  • MVM.com is down. Any other suggestions?
  • WOO HOO! Awesome job!
  • I also work nightshift but I only work 3 days a week,14 hour shifts! Talk about wacking up your sleep schedule. I work Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and then pretty much sleep all day Friday. The rest of the week I'm on a normal schedule but my eating habits change enough to make loosing weight hard. I am happy a 24 he gym…
  • I agree if there is a 24 hr gym close by I would try to join them. It makes it easier to go whenever you're avalible. When I was working 10hr days I knew I was going to be exhausted in the evening after work and driving home. I chose to get up a hour earlier to go to the gym work out and then go to work. It actually worked…
  • Welcome Kevin to MFP. This is a great place to help you stay on track for your fitness goals. If you ever have questions just post on the forums and I know someone will be able to help you. Just don't be shocked by the amount of calories it recomends as it may seem like just a little but when you start eating "healtier"…
  • aisser-- Well this month I've already lost 2 lbs although the ticker doesnt show it ;P I'm still on track to keep my wieght down and get back to a more healthy weight. I'm not going by numbers per say just going by how I feel and how I fit into clothes. How is everyone else?
  • Enell Sports bras are the BEST! You may be sticker shocked but it is well worth it. I've had mine for almost 6 years and it still works well. Best investment I've made for a bra ever.
  • Bump means Bring up my posts.. So you can easily find this thread by clicking on "my topics" at the top of the page. Brittany
