at my last GYN appointment my nurse told me I was morbidly obese - needless to say after a mild verbal discussion I left crying. I knew I was fat, I knew they had written on my OB chart to have my baby that I was Obese but I had just had a baby 3 months earlier and was trying to adjust and then she throws in the MORBIDLY…

Agreed! I only buy my jeans from there -- but hoping soon that they will be a store in my past!!

Agreed!

Depends on what you set your weight loss goal for (1 pound, 2 pounds) - my first week of diving in and going full force with MFP and exercise I lost 4 pounds (set my goal at 2 pounds and am too at 1200 calories). I learned quickly that Aunt Flo slows down my weight loss but the week after down 3 pounds again. I also am…

I don't feel bad for going over - but for me and my body it does seem to slow my weight loss, add water weight and bloating. I have been more conscious lately to avoid going over on sodium or calories. That seems to work to maintain my losses each week.

I would have to find a new shop and a new petrol station.....people just don't think - or think they are being funny when they aren't. You look GREAT! I love your pics of 30 day shred levels!! Keep up the fabulous work and just know that those people are jealous that you are a determined and strong individual and they…

Thanks!

I received mine too - and so far I love it. I have used it 3 times and it is MUCH more accurate than the "calories burned" on my runtastic app. Good luck in your weight loss and journey!!

So inspirational! Everyone looks awesome! I can't wait to post my before and after pics. I too just started this journey but know I will be there one day!! ;) great job everyone!!
-
Awesome - thanks GoffGirl! They sent me an email but it just had a subject with order # and some long number and letters but no content in the actual email. I emailed back and asked if there is a tracking number and haven't heard back.
-
Thanks walkdmc! Will be checking that when it arrives! Looking forward to using it - I have heard nothing but great things about it and great things about Polar products in general ;).
-
I just ordered one too! Where did y'all order from? Hoping it comes by next week - I didn't get a tracking number which isn't normal these days... Hmmmm I ordered from heart rate monitors USA - just hope it isn't a scam!!
-
Prokomds - thanks! I think another reason my numbers haven't budged that much this week is because my sodium was WAY over for 2 days which I believe accounts to water retention. I have to remember that I am still getting to know my body and my body is resistant to change (who's isn't) and as long as I continue to workout…

I did minutes of exercise a week for the walking/jogging I do on 3 days and the DVD with weights I do on 3 days. I don't know - I am so confused at this point with the calories and TDEE and TDEG and BMR.... :(
-
I went to the excel spreadsheet for what heybales posted and that seems more realistic for a TDEG for food which is 1332. Which means if I ignore the "eat back your calories" rule that MFP says then last week I ate on average 1327 calories which would explain why I lost weight. This week the average is 1450....which would…

So I did the road map and was shocked and disgusted that my BF is 53.2%!!! If I go by entering my goal weight as my current weight it gives me the following BMR - 1313 TDEE Lightly Active - 2300 ; Moderately Active - 2593 Since I am Obese - I take 30% deficit off the numbers - Lightly Active - 1610 ; Moderately Active -…

I just purchased the Polar FT4 - I am new to running - in the process of doing a C25K and I also wanted something that could calculate my calorie burn with my DVD workouts. I have heard a lot of positives on the Polar so that is why I got that. I purchased from heart rate monitors USA this morning - $66 plus free shipping.…

Great advice!!

I just started on this journey and its all or nothing for me so personally I workout 6 days a week. Cardio all 6 days but weight training 3 days. My workouts on average are 45 minutes, however I just ordered a HRM in hopes of maximizing my burn and being in the right fat burn zone.

I don't have "results" yet -- just starting my journey. However I do the Biggest Loser Boot Camp and there are jumping jacks- but what I find MORE helpful to do (since I am a DDD) is to wear a sports bra and then I overlap with one of those sports bra tank tops, then a shirt. But today I did my C25K program and I wore my…

What an inspiration!!! I look forward to the day that I can post my success story! Both you and your husband look fantastic! Keep it up!!!

http://www.heartratemonitorsusa.com/polar-ft4f-purple-h1.html - the site had 4 stars and 922 reviews....so it seems legit....it is a little out of my budget too but a lot less than some HRM's I saw for $550 or even $250 on REI website. So to me even $99 isn't bad - but I am always out for a deal!! ;)
-
Thanks for all the info. One website has them on sale for $66 with free shipping - didn't think that was bad since the Polar website sells them for $99.

A new wardrobe and most importantly self esteem!!

My personal favorite is Biggest Loser's Boot Camp. I do all 3 levels for a total body SWEATING workout. I always tell people on the days that I do that DVD that I am working out with my trainer, Bob Harper ;). Haha
-
Thanks! I should add that I did levels 1,2, and 3 with the warm up and cool down....I did use weights so I just wasn't sure what to list it as... ;).

Wow! I am overwhelmed (in a good way) about all the advice I have been given today. You guys (and gals) are such a great support team. I have made many new friends on MFP just from this 1 post. I am going to the links listed and adjusting my calorie goals. I do agree that I am eating WAY BELOW what I should and I need to…

Thank y'all again for all your help. Like I said as simple as this should be - it is so confusing!! Haha!

I have close to 80 pounds to lose to even be close to my "ideal weight" which is why I chose lose 2 pounds a week. I have been packing in the veggies and protein (chicken, tuna, even avacados). And cut out sweet tea and processed sugary foods (cookies, cake, ice cream, etc) I have read to set my calories at 20% below my…

So what should I set my calorie intake for? I really do appreciate your help! I just don't want to go into starvation mode but I also want to lose approx 2 pounds a week.
