  • I use ACV to help with my immune system and sinuses. I can't say that it helped with weight loss but I am an advocate for it.
  • I've been doing the ketogenic diet consistently for nearly 3 weeks now. I have consistently lost (upwards of a pound a day). I don't have cravings and I don't feel like I'm dieting at all. It can be difficult eating low carb at family functions and resisting cake at parties but those are struggles that I think you…
  • I've been debating this for a while too. I still have my Polar but I sometimes talk myself out of working out because I can't find the strap (I get really scatterbrained after a workout and put it in weird places). Plus I do improptu workouts at work and I want to be able to track that as well. So from what I've learned…
  • I'm 6'0 tall and I wear tall heels nearly every time I go out. I've dated shorter men and none of them have never had an issue with being seen with me in heels. In fact, they thought that it was sexy. Do what makes you comfortable but don't let your height hold you back. There are plenty of short women wishing to be taller…
  • I'm Stacie. I'd like to join.
  • Does your insurance have a 3-month mail-in program? That might help you to remember. Companies like CVS and Walgreens also have online prescription refills. Honestly, remember to call ahead is a small task. You can set reminders in your cell and/or email to do that.
  • I guess I'm confused...I would imagine that if you go from a sedentary lifestyle to working out everyday that muscle gain would happen. I'm more surprised that it wasn't more than just seven pounds.
  • I generally weigh every day but when I don't, I put my scale under the bathroom sink. I don't think that it's detrimental to weight loss unless you get discouraged and then go on a binge. You might find more satisfaction in taking your measurements because there are so many things that can affect the number on the scale…
  • I was going to say the same thing. What type of BC were you taking that causes weight loss? Never experienced that. I did hear that Metformin helps women with PCOS lose weight.
  • My statement said that she wouldn't have to worry about if she did and that is because she would truely be eating unprocessed foods (bread and pasta is processed) and because she is eating veggies they are more likely to be high fiber and more nutritious. Of course eating 50 calories is still going over, however 50…
  • Here are the recipes for the 2 ingredient pancakes with banana and eggs. I'm sure you could use egg whites. http://www.thekitchn.com/how-to-make-2-ingredient-banana-pancakes-cooking-lessons-from-the-kitchn-218658 http://www.thekitchn.com/10-little-upgrades-for-your-2-ingredient-banana-pancakes-218883
  • From what I can see you're eating a lot of baked foods (ie. banana bread, english muffins, etc.) I would say that if you could limit breads and rice to once a day you would probably be closer to your intake goals. Instead of almond butter on bread eat it with apples or some look for the lower carb/calorie bread that stores…
  • Today I had a peach salad with feta, red onion and balsamic dressing and a green smoothie. I'll alternate between peaches, strawberries, apples and pears. I might also have tuna.
  • Your husband sees the beauty in you that you may not see yourself all the time. You are a lucky woman. I'm not sure how long your locs are but check out YouTube. I've seen gorgeous styles that people with locs are wearing. If you can afford it, go to a beautician that specializes in loc maintenance in order to get your…
  • 1 - Strawberries, chicken, feta and red onions 2 - Chicken or Ground Turkey, corn, black beans, salsa I have other varieties but these are my most creative.
  • Current weight - 271; Height - 6'0; Goal Weight - 190;
  • Definitely can. Good job!
  • I got on the waiting list for Ravenclaw. A little bummed but still excited. Hopefully something will open soon. *fingers crossed*
  • Budgetbytes is a great website. I generally shop the sales. If chicken is on sale then that's what I eat for the week. Also shop at local Asian/Indian markets or flea markets. You can generally get fruit and veggies cheaper and fresher than the grocery store.
  • Guys don't care about stretch marks. If you're standing naked in front of him the stretch marks are the last thing that will be on his mind.
  • I try to drink ACV every day (about a tablespoon or two) and like many have said it is good for treating things like acid reflux and cold and sinus issues. It boosts your immune system but I'm on the fence about it as an appetite suppressant. Currently, I drink it as a shot (1 tbsp ACV and 1 tbsp of water, in a shot glass…
  • I generally try to eat a few prunes a day to help, sometimes I'll use a laxative or herbal supplement but I find that they give me painful gas. I didn't like Smooth Move because my move wasn't very smooth (lol) and I had painful gas. But I did purchase some Yogi tea that is a laxative and I hope that it works better than…
  • I have rewards set up for every 25 pounds that I lose, heart rate monitor, t-shirts, clothes for major events like my b-day or college homecoming. My big reward is a stripper pole for when I hit my 100 pound goal (hopefully in the fall). If you want to reward yourself with a new wardrobe then I say have at it. That's not…
  • Sorry that I took so long to respond. Here's a link for skin brushing. http://www.livestrong.com/article/290552-skin-brushing-and-weight-loss/ I've been doing it occasionally but I'm going to be more consistent. You should also be sure to moisturize, take your vitamins and drink plenty of water.
  • I'm roughly 6'0 with about the same amount to lose as you. My size is definitely a motivation to lose for me not because I feel ugly but because I know that regardless of how tall I am, it's never okay to tell someone that you're over 300 pounds. I love my height so I'm not envious of shorter ladies because of that. I envy…
  • I had issues with pain in my joints, specifically my knees and thumbs and hair shedding. I also have anemia which share similar symptoms with Vitamin D deficiency, so it was hard to tell which deficiency caused which symptom.
  • Great post!!!!
  • I believe that the common misconception it that when you are doing the cleanse it that you have to eat as little as possible in order to see the weight loss benefits but you don't. I still eat anywhere from 1300-1600 calories a day (so times more than that) and I've still lost. I just eat things that fall within the…
  • Daily, however I'm going to try and hold off and see what happens after about a week.
  • One thing that I see a lot of people discuss is skin brushing, exfoliating and moisturizing. It can also take time for your skin to catch up with your weight loss.
