  • I started March at 176.6 so my goal for March is 8 lbs. I want to be in the 160s going into April. I am going on a cruise mid March so I'll be back on induction for the last week of the month. Good luck to u all!
  • Hey! We started on the same day! Great job! As of this morning I am down 13.8 lbs. Good luck in March.
  • FYI: I decided not to have any carbs for dinner, but I ate a bagel before the race and a banana afterwards. I think I made a good choice because my run was pretty good, much better than expected. It wasn't my best, but I wasn't running for time like I usually do.
  • Great info! Thanks.
  • My goal for February was 11 lbs and I lost 12.8. Woo-hoo! I started induction on Tuesday, February 19th weighing 190.4 lbs and this morning, Friday February 28th I weigh 177.6. Wow! I need to start thinking about a goal for March :-)
  • There are only 2 more days left in February and I am so excited to wrap this month up! I've still got 5 more days of induction phase but my weight has been dropping steadily each day. I've lost 5.6lbs between Saturday - Thursday. I started on 2/18 and my goal was 11 lbs in 11 days, but I'm already passed that. Woo-hoo!…
  • I'm down 9.2 in 6 days. I had a very tempting weekend - pizza, bday cake, stadium food (popcorn, peanuts, etc.) but didn't give in at all. I'm so proud of myself.
  • Thanks for that very thorough reply. I've actually already registered for the 5 miler on March 1st and a 15K on March 15. No turning back now! I have been walking daily this week and yesterday went for a 3 mile walk / run. It wasn't awful but certainly not my usual. I'll probably attempt to run again tomorrow morning. I…
  • I've lost 8.6lbs since starting Atkins 4 days ago (Tuesday through Friday). I have also been walking 45 minutes each day to help move things along. I'm super excited about making this a lifestyle but I'm ready to move beyond phase 1 so I can eat some fruit.
  • I'm going to start the induction phase of Atkins on Tuesday, 2/18. I'm hoping to lose 11 lbs in the 11 days left in February. When I'm committed to diet and exercise, I lose weight rather quickly. It's the whole commitment thing that usually gets me. I'm participating in a weight loss challenge at work from 2/18 - 4/1 (6…
  • I was always curious about the points to calories equivalency so when I started back on WW again this week, I also tracked on MFP and you are correct - 29 pts is roughly 1400 calories. With MFP I was limiting myself to 1200 calories. I will see next week how my body responds.
  • Ditto! I have done it several times over the years and it is great. I reached lifetime and then stopped attending meetings and gained most of the weight back. I just joined AGAIN this week and am already encouraged. I love the weekly accountability.
  • For some odd reason I find it hilariously encouraging. I know perfectly well that every day wont be exactly the same but it just gives me hope that if I do my best I'll lose the weight.
  • I have been looking for it recently and have not found it in Publix. I was thinking I'll have to check out a Whole Foods type store.
  • I am 5'8" 156 lbs and a size 10. While I don't buy into the "big boned" theory, I do think that bone structure can limit your clothing size. I have a broad rib cage with practically no fat, but I will never fit into a small top (without regards to boobs). And there are women with broad hips who no matter how fit and toned…
  • In Weight Watchers these are referred to as BLTs - bites, licks and tastes. The best thing to do is refrain from doing it. I've left many bowls covered in cupcake batter to avoid the extra calories. That kind of thing would be really hard to accurately measure.
  • I typically delete people when they don't log in for an extended period of time, or if they are not making any progress or even trying to make progress. I am not here simply to collect friends; I want to be encouraged while encouraging others.
  • Welcome and congrats on your decision to make that change. Don't look at it as 90 lbs, break it down into small goals. 5 lbs at a time. You'll be amazed and encouraged each time you reach a mini-goal.
  • Absolutely! I have 2 cheat days actually - Saturday and Sunday. But Monday - Friday I stick to my calorie goal. I've always dieted this way and never had a problem losing weight.
  • Funny thing is I read this post because I am such the pop-tart addict and really want to stop eating them just because they are a ton of useless calories. However, the facts stated here don't deter me at all. That's sad.
  • Shopping online for bedding for my kids and listening to Barney in the background.
  • I donate it as soon as it gets too big. I don't want to grow back into them.
  • I'd have to say the calories are the same. But I know a lady who says toasted bread has less calories than untoasted bread. SMH...

  • I was really reluctant to click on the thread but was curious to see who was brave enough to reply. The jokes on me, eh?
  • My neighbor had one over a year ago and she looks amazing! She said she was VERY SORE during the healing process but that it was so worth it. Good luck!
  • Once per week.
  • Preparation in essential to healthy eating, but you can easily create your own meal plan. You just need to plan our your 3 meals and 2 snacks the day before and log them on MFP so that you know how many calories you are working with. Depending on your lifestyle and preferences, pick foods that are realistic for you. Fruit…

  • I found some chicken sausage at Sam's Club that cooks in 40 seconds in the microwave. 141 calories and very tasty!
  • Great question! I'm actually a few pounds under goal and am kinda terrified of going into maintenance as this is usually where I fail. Right now I'm doing 30 minutes of cardio 5 days a week and 60-90 minutes of cardio 2 days a week. I really need to start weight training and toning, which I know will cause me to gain a…
