I am having the same issue today. The last successful sync was 11:59pm EDT on Friday 30 March. Usually when there is a site-wide syncing issue, it is best to let MFP and Fitbit resolve it and try not to unlink/relink them. Doing that just puts your account at the back of the syncing queue when they finally resolve the…

If you are asking about the Recent list query, no. The Recent list is a query (search) of your Food Diary, similar to a Google search (query) of the internet. Just as someone cannot delete things from a Google search, an MFP user cannot delete things from the Recent list query. The Recent list exists as a one-time search…

There is a difference in how many Calories each macronutrient contributes to Total Calories, based on how many Calories per gram each nutrient provides. Carbs and protein provide about 4 Calories/gram, fat provides about 9 Calories/gram, and alcohol provides about 7 Calories/gram. MFP does the math for you based on grams,…

You can not share recipes directly with another user, and another user will not find your recipes through a search. Your recipes will be displayed in the search results only when you perform a search. There is a workaround to log another user's Recipe nutrition information. Once you log a Recipe to one of your Meals,…

Most likely a Weight Watchers user entered it. Unless you are WW, I would recommend not using it. Search for "egg whole" and log one of those green-checked entries. Those with multiple serving size choices have been entered by MFP staff from the USDA database and are more likely to be correct.

Editing a public Food Database item does *not* create another item in the database. Users can edit items without green check marks. Only database admins can edit verified items (those with green check marks). When a user edits a public item, they become the temporary owner of the database record and it displays in their My…

The Fitbit reports your total daily burn to MFP; MFP provides the Fitbit Calorie adjustment based on how many more Calories Fitbit reports when compared to your MFP Activity Level goal (Sedentary, Lightly Active, Active, or Very Active). The lower MFP Activity Level you chose, the higher the Calorie adjustment for total…

The only way to view more than one day at a time is by using the web version. You may be able to open the full desktop version on your mobile device using its browser app (Chrome, Safari, etc.) to do this, but I have not tried it using my phone. Using the web version, navigate to FOOD > Food Diary. Scroll to the bottom of…

If you are using the MFP Android mobile app, MFP and its Community partner Vanilla Forums say that they can not for the life of them figure out how to make it work. They need to try harder. Android users can post pic/graphic files using their mobile device by opening their mobile web browser app (usually Chrome) and…

If you shared a personal My Foods with the public Food Database at the time you created it (on the web version), you will not be able to delete it. It will remain on your My Foods list, until another user edits it and takes "control" over the public food item and it drops off of your My Foods list and appears on the other…

It depends on what MFP Activity Level you chose: Sedentary, Lightly Active, Active, or Very Active. The Fitbit reports your total daily burn to MFP; MFP provides the Fitbit Calorie adjustment based on how many more Calories Fitbit reports when compared to your MFP Activity Level goal. I have used Fitbit for two years and…

Assume you ate 32.0 grams. Move the decimal point two digits left. Log 0.32 of 100g serving size to get 32g. In general, divide weight of portion grams by weight of serving size. Note: 1/4 = 0.25 1/3 = 0.333 1/2 = 0.5 2/3 = 0.666 3/4 = 0.75

All users can create and rename up to 6 meal slots using the web version. Once created or modified on the web version, the changes will propagate to the mobile apps. There are a few things that can only be done using the full web version, the changes to meal slots is one of them. The Recent list query of the Food Diary…

I created a 6th meal slot using the web version. When I find a food I want to save, I log it to my 6th meal slot and change the quantity to 0.001 servings. That zeros out Calories and nutrients so that they do not add to the Daily total, but then the items will display in the Recent list query of my Diary when I toggle the…

When you created a Fitbit account, you provided your stats (gender, age, height, weight). From that data, Fitbit calculated an estimate of your BMR (basal metabolic rate) for the day. I am male, 56, 5'8", 150lbs. My BMR is about 1490 Cals per day. Dividing my BMR into 24 hour chunks, it is 62Cals/hr. If I wake up at 8:00…

If MFP and Fitbit are synced but you are not seeing Fitbit steps, on the MFP mobile app go to Menu > Steps, or on the web version go to APPS > Steps, and make sure Fitbit Tracker is selected as the Step Source. I would recommend reading through the first three posts in this thread on the MFP Fitbit Users group...…

On the web version, go to MY HOME > Goals and click "Edit" at the top of the micronutrients table. You should be able to modify the grams of sugar goal there. I never tried updating micronutrient goals on the mobile app, but I would think you should be able to do it there also.

The MFP Strength Training section is a simple log of sets/reps/weights for individual exercises only. You can log them there, but you will not get a Calorie estimate for them individually. MFP bases Calorie estimates on time spent, and the only place you can log the time spent for a strength training session is under…
