The Recent list is a query (search) of your Food Diary, similar to a Google search (query) of the internet. Just as someone cannot delete things from a Google search, an MFP user cannot delete things from the Recent list query. The Recent list exists as a one-time search result of the items stored in your Food Diary.…

Are you logging exercise activity? Since MFP provides your daily Calorie and nutrition goals excluding purposeful exercise, when you log an activity the Calorie goals are increased, and those Calories are spread out as increased gram goals of carbs, fats, and protein. Please see this article, and search for answers to…

Depending on your current weight (heavier people burn more Calories per minute) and your MFP Activity Level setting (many MFP users who choose Sedentary/Not Very Active aren't really that Sedentary), the amount MFP calculates for the Fitbit Calorie adjustment could be fairly accurate. I would recommend reading through the…

Yes. Just note that the nutrition information for the 1g serving may *display* zero Calories and zero nutrients, but the underlying decimal amounts will scale properly when you log a larger number of grams for the serving in your Diary. After you save the recipe, log 100g of it in your Diary to test that the nutrition…

When you have Sedentary (Not Very Active on mobile app) set, MFP uses the Mifflin St. Jeor equation that estimates you burn 25% more Calories than your BMR (use MFP web version to see your BMR at APPS > BMR) doing everyday activities, excluding exercise. An average person will meet that starting about 2500 steps per day.…

If MFP and Fitbit are synced but you are not seeing Fitbit steps, on the MFP mobile app go to Menu > Steps, or on the web version go to APPS > Steps, and make sure Fitbit Tracker is selected as the Step Source. I would recommend reading through the first three posts in this thread on the MFP Fitbit Users group...…

Since you mentioned the word NET, that leads me to guess that you are viewing the Dashboard on the web version, not the mobile app. The web version subtracts positive exercise Calories from Food and shows Net Calories. The mobile apps add positive exercise Calories to Goal and shows Remaining Calories (after subtracting…

The estimated Calories burned for strength training for any time period will be less than half as many estimated Calories as running at 5.0 mph, and it is about the same estimated Calories as walking at 3.0 mph. If a person would log a purposeful walk that is not already included in their estimated MFP Activity Level, then…

Please post a screen capture of what you are seeing. I am going to guess that you are adding your weight lifting under Add > Strength Training. If so, that area is for a basic log of the sets/reps/weights per individual exercise. It does not provide estimated Calories burned per individual exercise. If you want an estimate…

I would recommend that you set the MFP Activity Level to at least Lightly Active; set MFP to lose 1.0 lb per week or no more than 1.5 lbs per week; and enable negative adjustments in MFP so that any sick or less active days (such as on the weekend) that you don't move that much will adjust the daily MFP goal downward for…

The meal slot subtotals (such as Breakfast, Lunch, etc.) should be transferred to Fitbit when they sync. Individual food items do not transfer.

@samaramae1 Since a recipe makes a batch of something, and you usually eat a portion of the whole thing, it is customary to measure that portion (a serving) by volume (cup, slice, piece, scoop) or weight (ounces, grams). Measuring by weight is normally more accurate than by volume, but many people do it by volume for the…

You will not see the option on MFP to enable negative Calorie adjustments unless the Fitbit is synced. I would strongly recommend that you sync MFP and Fitbit; make sure Fitbit is selected as your Step Source in MFP; enable negative adjustments in MFP, set MFP Activity Level to at least Lightly Active; start by eating back…

Also check that the Fitbit time zone matches MFP time zone. Did you log any exercises in MFP on any of those days, or have another app logging other activity to MFP? If so, that will affect the Fitbit Calorie Adjustment, because the Ftibit adjustment is the difference in what MFP estimates and Fitbit estimates, and logging…

You burn more Calories when you move your weight (i.e. by walking or running). That earns Calories; so both steps and intentional exercise count. Your total activity as estimated by Fitbit exceeded the estimated MFP Calorie goal based on your chosen MFP Activity Level (Sedentary, Lightly Active, Active, or Very Active).…

From the information you provided, MFP estimates your BMR at 2200 Cals/Day Sedentary Activity Level = 1.25xBMR = 2750 Cals/Day for Maintenance Getting 1750 Cals/day as goal means you selected a 1000 Cal/day deficit (2 pounds per week), which is the most aggressive rate of loss. You would still lose weight at a 750 Cal/day…

There is really no one-to-one comparison between the MFP Fitbit Calorie Adjustment and the Fitbit Activity you log. MFP's Fitbit Calorie adjustment is for the difference in what MFP estimates your total daily burn will be for the full 24 hours based on your MFP estimated BMR and Activity Level, versus what Fitbit estimates…

No need to delete those Fibit Calorie adjustments throughout the day. In fact, each time MFP and Fitbit sync, each adjustment will include them until that last one at 11:59pm. If you stop moving at 7:00pm for example, the next few adjustments up until midnight will even start decreasing to account for you not moving at…

I use Jefit and would recommend that you take a look at it again. I found that the website version allowed me to find nearly every imaginable exercise that is normally done. You just have to get used to the specific syntax Jefit uses. I tend to use the system exercises that start with Barbell or Dumbbell. On the Jefit…

The MFP daily goal is provided so that you can lose weight without exercise. When you exercise, you are expected to log it and eat back at least a percentage of those earned exercise Calories. Most people will recommend new users eat back at least 50 to 75% of the earned Calories for at least 4 to 6 weeks, and then adjust…
