  • Daily can be rewarding and sad. A girlfriend of mine got very frustrated doing the daily weigh in thing. I asked what her goal was - lose 2lbs a week. SO I told her to weigh her self friday am - before any weekend damage could be done. It worked for her. I also agree with Benjamumover. Until you rehyrate you will feel…
  • This site will really help you with motivation, tips on recipes, workouts, support. It's awesome!:drinker:
  • try Tzatziki sauce. Its much healthier than mayo - less cal, less everything but more protein. Greeks put it on Gyros. A dill taste. YUMMY!
  • Start slowly with whatever exercise you do. You could easily over do it and end up hurting yourself. Listen to your body. If you start feeling pain during your workout - your in trouble. Because the next day will be worse than the initial day and the 2nd day afterward even worse. Alternate your workout - upper body one…
  • You know what, an occasional cheat is ok. Yes it adds weight but it will restart your body's metabolism and you'll lose the added weight quickly.:drinker:
  • two sets of hands gets twice the word done. more efficient. play off each other's knowledge and ideas. I know exactly what this feels like. I worked with my fatherinlaw to finish our basement. Being more experienced I listened alot to him. I worked around his schedule. When it came down to what we wanted, after listening…

  • Winnipeg MAN-I-TOBA. With all its clear sunny days!
  • Whenever you work a muscle group, its recommended to do a 48 hour rest - ie every second day. Your mucles need this as they are stretched and broken down. In order to rebuild themselves they need time. I would recommend a different cardio on alternationg days. This would also alleviate the boredom  tendancy. Work…
  • Congrats on joining!:drinker: Its fantastic!:flowerforyou:
  • You can do that as a minimum. Your muscles need about 48 hours to recover. THerefore you can work them out up to 3 times per week. The more muscle you have the more calories you will burn without working out. Don't worry about building muscles - YOU CANNOT GET HUGE. Women cannot put on muscle like men. Physically…

  • Myself, I can't eat before exercising. I just get heartburn. So I exercise first thing in the am (6:30) to get an energy boost (I don't dink coffee or tea - surprise as most parents do  ) for the day. I find I start to crash  from the energy boost late in the afternoon (4-6). If I exercise in the evening I…

  • I wish you the best. As long as you know why you want to be a cop and can live with yourself then that's all there is. I myself have been in a few fights while walking away. Most times by one person one time by three. The only fight I lost was the one with 3 attackers (obviously). One of those times I let myself get really…
  • Myslef, the first time I went ot lose weight I would do 2 hours of cardio, then 90 minutes of weights (I got to the gym for 4 am) 6 days a week. I did this for 2 months and lost 8 lbs. WHAT THE F***. I was mad. I almost gave up then. Then Another month goes by and :explode: I lose 25lbs. I guess My metabolism kicked in.…
  • When you blocked his way you just added to the road rage. :explode: Why antagonize the person? You were looking to challenge him. Your lucky he didn't have a knife or gun himself. Your pepper spray would've done squat at that point. I get the feeling you don't walk away from confrontation. That just adds to…
  • Sounds like its time to move on. The stress level may hinder your progress.:explode: Try to find a place you will enjoy going to. The more positve the work place, the greater the chance of succeding in your goals. You have commited to improving your health which means you assessed what was wrong and developed a plan to…

  • The calorie count sounds right based on the exercises you are doing. I wouldn't worry about keeping your heart rate lower though. The harder you are breathing the more calories you are buring.
  • Did you add your workout so that your calorie count increase to reflect this? Myself, I can't eat before my morning work outs as I get acid reflux then. Just drink lots of water to help you feel more full, In order to lose weight you must be in a calorie deficit that's why I like this site,
