  • I know what you mean. I started at the school gym and I was easily one of the biggest people there but no one cared. No one paid attention to me at all. Most people are focused on their regime and too busy to look at you. Just blast some music or watch netflix while on a machine.
  • I turn bright red too! My biggest piece of advice with fitness is only to rely on yourself. Workout partners will come and go. You may find you enjoy different things! Set a goal of working out for a week, then add onto it when you reach that goal. Start small and build up.
  • I hate the treadmill! LOL I started running outside and that is what I prefer. In the winter I ran on the treadmill some but I didn't enjoy it as much. Being outside works your entire body and having a more varied terrain to run on is more fun for me.
  • Everyone is welcome to add me. I'll be turning 25 in May. I'm 5'1 and I've been overweight my whole life. I started at ~215 and I am currently 147.2. I started my journey almost 9 months ago. I would say to start easy. Track your food and get that under control first, and then incorporate exercise. A 5k is totally…

  • I would like to try kettle bells. Where's the best place to buy some for a decent price?
  • I am going to have to join the 5 AM club when summer hits so I can get a run in before the heat increases, working part time and school part time. I'll let ya know how it goes lol
  • I drink so much water that I can't keep track. Lol I am constantly peeing and refilling my water bottle.
  • Running outside and I use Spotify for different play lists. This is how I am able to still enjoy my ice cream and chocolate without sacrificing other meals.
  • What do you do currently? I have always done them with legs crossed at knees and feet up (girl style?) So I was doing at least 30 in my body weight circuits training exercises but I decided one day I was just going to try an actual pushup and I did 10 of them in a row. You might surprise yourself, especially if you do…
  • My NSV is wearing this dress. Something I never would have picked out before and it's a size small.
  • Made it to the 140s! I just really want to focus on my running at the moment. Signing up for a 5k for next month.
  • Are you eating enough to fuel your workouts? I generally feel more fatigued with less quality sleep.

  • Noticed difference in my legs first. Stomach is always last *sigh*
  • I bought a brita pitcher that filters the water. Cuts down on plastic bottle waste and you don't have to drink nasty tap water.
  • Hottopic had an online sale two for $10 so I decided to order to shirts. They were flowy so I ordered a small but assumed that I would need to lose a few more pounds for them to fit good. Tried them on when they arrived and they fit perfectly!!
  • Goal: 40 miles MTD: 9.5 miles 3/1 - 5.48 miles 3/2 - bodyweight circuits 3/3 - 4.02 miles Super cold wind today made my asthma act up a bit but I've ran more this week than ever before!
  • On MWF I try to wake up at 6:45. I get myself dressed then my 2 kiddos. Get the kids something to eat. Heat up breakfast or grab what I've pre-made. I try to be out the door by 7:45 so I can get them to daycare and be at my class at 8:30. TTH are more laxer because I have later classes unless I have my counseling…

  • I think it took me about 3-4 months. But that is also because I changed my diet drastically due to having issues with my stomach. The first 20 lbs were without exercise too.
  • I would go through counseling. I was in an abusive relationship for 4 years and I didn't realize how much I was using food as a distraction from dealing with my issues. Once I took that out of the equation I struggled a lot and I've been in counseling since the end of 2016. I go every two weeks and it is helping a lot.
  • Goal: 40 miles 3/1 - 5.48 miles Just a little under 2 months until my next 5k so excited! Glad it's getting warmer so I don't have to deal with the treadmill!

  • Whoops! Wrong thread lol
  • I ran 5.19 miles in an hour! Most I've ever ran!
  • Omg I know how you feel. I had an XL winter coat and I'm a M now. It looks ridiculous on me but I didn't want to shell out money for a new one that would only be used 1 winter.
