Feel free to add me! I've began this journey myself at the beginning of May of this year. So far, so good! Having the support of those here on MFP really helps me keep it up! I'm also proof that giving up soda, eating right and counting calories really works! I wish you luck, I know you can do it if you set your mind to it!

No, never has really been accurate, but I'm glad it's there on some days. I do see the number's as motivation on those days where it's been a little challenging staying within my calorie limit. Most of the time, it's just a number though, just like the numbers on the scale every morning. :)

I am from Northern Indiana, about 45 minutes from Chicago, Illinois, USA. My biggest downfall was consuming 1,000 or more calories from my energy drinks and soda. I quit both of them and will never go back! Water is my new "drinking buddy"!

That sucks!! I know it will happen to me at some point. I'm not looking forward to it at all! I hope you get some good suggestions here and they work. It will benefit you and I, when I hit one. I think of my kids and grand kids and how I want to make sure that I do my part by taking care of my body, to be around for them. To run and play with them and be healthy enough to enjoy them.

Yes, that was taken at his graduation from BCT at Ft.Jackson, SC last July. It was a miserable 100+ day. Hard to believe that I once was that size and served my country in the Army also. :)
