http://www.theyummylife.com/Refrigerator_Oatmeal We are doing these with this variation: 1/3 c old fashioned oats 1/4 c greek yogurt 1/4 c almond milk 2 tsp turbinado or brown sugar 1 tsp cinnamon The next morning we add the fruit topping we want or a little maple syrup if they want maple brown sugar... It still seems a…

That's good! Actually, I am doing strokes in the water, not aggressive, but intentional - like the side stroke, back stroke, etc... I play in the water with them in addition to "my exercise" time :) However, it definitely isn't 6 times a week, more like 3-4. So perhaps I should continue with the same numbers in the light…

http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc I certainly can't tell you what is right or wrong, and I have been one here asking for the advice of others, so I understand. I am listening to my body and digesting tons of information from many sources. For me, my situation has some similarities and some differences. Mostly I…

thx for all your input! :) I do love stove popped best (we use a small amount of peanut oil, or vegetable oil if I'm out of peanut oil. I've been reading soooo much about the awesomeness of coconut oil, I'll be trying that next :) I only add a sprinkling of the seasoning, so we're not loading up with butter and such. My…

You are sooo good to us! :) Thanks so much!! Catherine

That's true! So technically, I will get to eat more :) Yaaayy! I can barely remember the days of feeling full and not wanting to eat and falling below 1000 cals consistently. I'm sooo hungry now and I eat all day!! :)

I tried this tonight! I did sweet potatoes, beets, and carrots. I must have sliced them too thick b/c they weren't really crispy, but they were tasty! I mixed some salt-free Tony's into a little oil and coated them all in a bowl before laying them out. Maybe I should have just brushed them with oil to help with the…

Organic salad, (local) blueberries, my veggie patty, roasted red pepper italian with parmesan dressing - 223 cals I crumble my patty on my salad. Mmmm!! Catherine

Have you found this site already? http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc It seems to be great on accuracy and has sooo many possibilities to find what is the right one. I have added some of the ones I do frequently to "my exercises" in MFP because then it is easy to know it is accurate each time.

Thanks, y'all! I do feel better after some time in the pool :) I thought about it this afternoon and I do think I'm going to stick with the TDEE-cut for the summer. I may not lose anything, but I don't think I'll continue gaining. Now that I'll be in the pool and the ocean somuch, my exercise level will go up drastically…

At least "chewing on" and "digesting" this doesn't add to my cals for the day! I'm headed to the pool in my "fat day" swim suit. At least I burn a lot of cals swimming and it is the right exercise. I do seriously have to figure out what my next step is. Maintain my TDEE cut for the summer and d a full reset in teh fall, or…

We're more pescatarians because we do still eat fish from time to time and I haven't cut out eggs, yogurt, and cheese for our family either. I have a few great recipes that were a work of endurance b/c of all the "fine tuning" it took to get good responses from my two sons and my ultra picky husband. My boys are far far…

Thanks for your replies :) I'm trying to keep my motivation, but it can be challenging. Especially when I'm sooooo dang hungry!! Then I blow it with peanut butter M & Ms (they are evil, they truly are...lol) Thx, again :)

It may have been mentioned already and I missed it, but when was the last time you ran your numbers? You know every time you lose say 5 pounds or so, you should re-calculate your new goals. At least that it is what I see on the boards when I'm reading... Just a thought :D

I didn't gain any weight. I moved my calories up over three steps instead of one huge jump. I have been eating under 1200 calories a day for years and so just moving up to 1200 was an increase. Then when I discovered this group I moved up halfway to my TDEE - the cut that I am at now. This took place over about a week and…

Wow!! Awesome! You look great and sooo much happier :) Big Congrats! I'm just starting my journey, your story is such an inspiration to those of us not yet where we want to be :)

I soooo want this recipe! It combines two of my favorites - sweet potatoes and slow cookers!!! Please share the recipe or a link to it :D

Yep!! Way to go!

THANKS!! I have been using a different calculator on Scooby!! No wonder I couldn't get to the same numbers :) THX THX THX for all your help :D

[/quote] The 1724 is for maintenance if you don't want to lose any weight. It's important to know if you hit a plateau, so if you eat at maintenance for a week or two and then drop down to the cut calories that should help bust the plateau. I know what ya mean about wanting to get faster results, but the slower you lose…

Thanks! I went in the goals on MFP and made changes. :) Catherine

Ok, so I'm following you fine all the way to where does the TDEE at 1724 come from? I re-ran everything I could on both sites and didn't find that one! LOL! I'm willing to try to up them, I'm just wondering how you came to those numbers so I can understand completely. Minus 15% is less aggressive than I was hoping for (I…

I'm not sure exactly which thread, but I found the steps directing me to fat2fit before I ever joined the EM2WL group. I was just trying to learn more about TDEE and BMR at that point.

I'm at 153 now, but these numbers were all run at 155, not a big difference, but before I had weighed in with that loss. Do you mean you would go up in just selecting my activity level, or as in I should get in more activity throughout the day? I try to be as active as I can be throughout the day with my boys and the every…

I'm asking the same thing, basically, right now! I'll be watching your post, too... :)

Thanks for your reply. It's amazing what a difference it makes to hear from someone :) Actually, I had guessed at my weight when I first set everything up. Today I bought the scale and stopped into my docs office to get my current weight from the scale I have been going by for the past 6 years. It was a pleasant surprise…
