Oh - I also track my period on an app as well. ;)

I usually gain 2-3 lbs during my period. (Also, losing 6lbs in one week is a little nutty! Possible...but nutty! It may have been a fluke weigh-in? Or a crazy whoosh?) Anyway - what I like to do is weigh myself everyday, and enter it in a weight-tracking app. I weigh first thing in the morning, before breakfast, naked. It…

learn how to lift weights. Rawr!

I mean this is funny, but not true across the board. For very obese folks, like I used to be, working out was really not in my day. I walked a bit more (like, wouldn't take the elevator "walked"), but really it was changing the eating habits that helped me drop the first 30-50 lbs. I didn't start working out proper until…

OK this is going to sound so strange. But...Postum! That buckwheat drink. My daddy always used to drink it, and he's no longer alive, and it always made me think of him, until they stopped making it about 5 years ago! :( :( :(

Whaaaat? OK, maybe back in the 1990's we had to go to payless or cross-dressers' shops, but this is 2015, baby! What size shoe do you wear, Mandy? I wear 13. I go to Amazon.com and to Nordstrom Rack. They always have my size :)

Heyo! So the evening is when, for me, the slight hunger from the day catches up with me. Some folks say "you shouldn't feel hungry when cutting calories!" Well you know what? I do...I've lost 125+ lbs, and I will freely say that no matter how much good fiber/veggies I eat, I will always feel a tiny, tiny bit hungry at the…

HEYO! Feel free to add me as a friend :)

Honey + coconut cream on toast

Here are the meats I like the best! Lean pork tenderloin Trout, halibut, cod, catfish etc (whatever has a good price) Ground venison, elk, buffalo or extra-lean beef Turkey Jerky of all kinds Tofu can be good, if cooked right (get extra firm, not super firm - better calorie/protein/fiber ratio) Red lentils - I have a great…

I am a 5'10" woman. When I was really overweight, I didn't like it. Now I am 166 (BMI 23.8) with 10 lbs left to lose. Now I have a 6'7" partner and I rock the *kitten* out of 3" heels. I Love being 6'1" woman :) :) :)

80 oz = 10 glasses for me. I suppose that's doable

I don't know what generic milk USDA is refering to here, but these are not at ALL the measurements on my brand I buy. I also just hate the taste of skim milk. May as well drink water.

There is no time of day in which you burn more calories while exercising. I tend to exercise on a relatively empty stomach, because otherwise I get stomach cramps. But my partner exercises only on a full stomach, or he loses energy and gets weak. On your second question - just let MFP do the calculating for you, not us.…

I find the food really un-satisfying and unappealing. But also - it was my knowledge of how foods are grown/produced/processed that got me to change my diet in the beginning. In other words, my weight loss began as a political choice. But for you - if it fits in your calories go for it, I guess.

I'm 5'10" and 166.2! I want to get down to 154 - that middle-range BMI of 22 (but a healthy, strong 22). I find it REALLY hard to lose when I'm already in a normal weight range. It's hard to find motivation (because I don't feel "fat" anymore), and it's hard to eat SO LITTLE when one of my favorite past-times is eating,…

OMG - I thought I was the only one! I also get these cravings during ovulation, and not during menstruation! During menstruation, I actually feel like eating LESS. It's so strange.

Hey! I get this too. I have done this a few times, and friends do it as well. I got 7-10 days with NO added sugars, including fake or calorie-free sugar. It's none of that "cleanse" *kitten* - but your body and your brain does get used to having the quick energy & dopamine hit that comes from eating sugars. So for 7-10…

I am a firm believer that "non-fat" dairy products are ridiculous - I always choose low-fat. Non-fat often (not always) has a negligent difference in calories compared to low-fat, but just more sugars and carbs. Seriously. The non-fat trend HAS to stop. Doesn't mean necessarily go for whole-fat, but why just fill your…

Hmmm...according to your BMI, you are in the obese range, half-way to morbidly obese :hushed: Are you sure 102 is correct?

Woo hoo for big feet! I wear size 12 or 13, and I can easily palm a basketball. I am 5'10" and I weigh 166 right now. I was my biggest at 290 (that was about 10 years ago, when I was a teen), and I'd like to be "average" - around BMI 22 (but a healthy, strong 22), so around 155 pounds. I have a big butt, big…

Wow. Just...wow. I would never put up with that. Girl...make him grow up!

This. Your husband doesn't like anything you make, and is super picky? You can set boundaires! Tell him to start cooking for himself! Geez...do we live in the 1940s here?

*shivers* those things make me feel ill.
