  • T25 by Beachbody. It is 25 minutes a day, 5 days a week, comes with little equipment (other than a strength band for BETA round, nothing else) and there is a "low impact" modifier to follow for a lot of the moves. I enjoy it a lot.
  • After my son was born I did Insanity. I lost maybe a pound the first month, but dropped from a size 9 to a size 5!
  • Shaun T is my man! T25, Insanity and Hip Hop Abs are great workouts. I have heard amazing things about P90X, especially the newest one, but haven't tried it. I won't ever switch away from Shaun T and Beachbody!
  • I agree with MssHinNH, I have restarted my T25 after a long deal with sickness and all I can say is you wont get nearly the workout in a gym that you can with Beachbody workouts. Between Insanity, T25 and P90X there are tons of options. I recommend you go to Beachbody.com and look at their programs. I have personally done…
  • I don't think it makes us look week, just a term. I have said to modify pushups to people before and they ask what that means. If I say girl pushups then they understand. Just makes it easier to explain. :)
  • There are always ways to modify the workout. If you can't "powerjump" then just jump. If you can't do regular pushups, do "girl" pushups. How you do the moves isn't important, its keeping form, like not allowing your back to arch during plank moves. Start slow, maybe only try the warmup first. Don't try the whole workout.…
  • You should only weigh yourself once a week since there can be a lot of factors to mess up daily weights, like salt and water intake. If you eat a salty dinner, then you can weigh more the next day. Usually you want to weigh first thing in the morning. I wait till after my morning exercise on Monday mornings.
  • Moms of the world unite!! My little man is gonna be 4 months on the 13th and I have been actively working on loosing the extra 15 pounds my body didn't shed after birth. I can say that over the last 2 months, since I wasn't cleared to workout for 8 weeks post-baby, I have dived into Beachbody's Insanity and Hip Hop Abs. In…
  • At Walmart, they have Natureade Total Soy Meal Replacement Powder, Chocolate. I use it and I like it a lot. I use it with Vanilla Soy or Almond milk and mix other things like Strawberry exctract, banana's and PB. It is reasonably priced as well. I don't know what price you are willing to pay, but beachbody has Shakeology…
  • I use Splenda Essentials with Fiber in my coffee to cut down on the amount of creamer I put in. I love it. :)
  • Trading out Insanity due to no time?? Just curious, I have Insanity already, wanting to get T25, but don't want to give up Insanity either.
  • When I was jogging I always put gum in my mouth. I would get a dry mouth real easy, so the gum helped with that. I love my Nike Running app, it keeps track of everything from distance to pace and you can see what spots you need to work on by a color map of your run. Green is your faster speeds, yellow is moderate speed and…
  • Hip Hop Abs and Insanity, waiting to get T25! Love Beachbody.
  • One thing I use are weight lifting gloves on everything. So many people use the machines and sweat, but they don't always wipe the equipment down. I have issues with other people's sweat :)
  • Beachbody has many different programs to choose from. And if you buy their program and sign up you can get a coach who can help you through your transition. I personally LOVE Insanity. They are tough, but you will see results in body inches (not weight lbs) within the first few weeks. If you don't have a lot of time, they…
  • During my pregnancy I did light cardio on an elliptical 5 days a week. I ate a well balance diet keeping my calories around 12 to 14 hundred a day (a tad bit low for a pregnant woman). I made sure I took stairs whenever possible and didn't use the "I am eating for two" excuse. I gained 30 lbs and after almost 4 months can…
  • I agree. All too often my husband wants to go to either Mexican or Pizza on our weekly outing, so I just enjoy my dinner. Eat what you like and don't worry too much about it. Think of it like a treat, we all need treats.
  • HAHA, love it!
  • Omnivore! I love my beef and my salads. My hubby is strictly a meat and potato type of guy.
  • I have the Nexplanon Implant and I haven't seen any problems with weight gain, but I never had that issue with all the other oral ones either, from Ortho Low, to Yaz to generic brands. As others have said, hormones affect everyone differently. If it is a concern, talk to you OB/GYN. Together you might be able to find a…
  • I a currently into Insanity, and soon I will be ordering T25. No excuses with T25, 25 minutes of pure cardio and strength training. Insanity has changed my body so much, thinking T25 will just add to the positive. :)
  • Almost done with Insanity month 2 (taking short break due to some damage in my foot) and only 3lbs down, but dropped from a size 9/10 to almost my pre-pregnancy size, a 3/4. I can get them on and buttoned, but still need a few inches to fit well. Remember muscle weighs more than fat. I was watching the infomercial the…
  • and yes....listed to your doc! Mine ok'd me to work out....he even had a woman teaching a step up class at the gym. She taught a class one morning and had the baby that afternoon. As long as your doc feels it is ok for you to work out, go for it. Mine told me no high kicks and no horses after 20 weeks.
  • I was in training for a Tough Mudder when I found out I was pregnant. I continued hard training, running and Tae Bo until my Tough Mudder where I was 6 weeks pregnant at the time. After I completed my Mudder I continued running and when the weather turned I started on the elyptical 30 to 40 minutes a day 5 days a week. I…
  • Insanity, great in home DVD with zero equipment.
  • You are not alone, I am almost done with month 2 and there has been very little weight loss, only 2 pounds. However I did go from a size 9/10 to a 5/6. I did want small number on the scale, but I will take smaller pant sizes anyday! I stick to a 1400 calorie diet and adjust my intake according to the calories burned, so up…
  • I did mine last October at 6 weeks pregnant. It was the worst and best time of my life.....my advise, don't be in a hurry. Work on your long distance jogging. I did some uphill jogs and a 5 mile jog. I was also working on Tae Bo to get some balance. There are a ton of people along the way to help you over the walls, I had…
  • I am almost done with my 1st round of Insanity and it is no joke, I love it. The first month seems real hard until you hit the second month, then you want to go back. Don't have expectations of massive weight loss (if you do), I at first was a little discouraged by zero weight loss, but I am down in my pant size, which is…
  • I finished a TM in Salt Lake last Oct. Dress appropriately for the weather. I was dressed for 70's and higher, it was 64 with wind and rain plus the ice and mud....miserable!!! One thing, do not wear metal in your hair. I had a metal barrette on top of my head and the last electric obstacle knocked me out for a few…
