2000 calories. That's approx 450 calories deficit. Exercise calories get added onto this. Have lost 5 kg or so over the last month so it is effective for me. And I don't starve!

No. Because I'm not a fantasist ;-)

Deal with it [TM]. Harsh, but there will always be bad things to eat / do. Willpower is a requirement if you are determined on changing your lifestyle. If the problem is that you really are sitting there hungry though, then that would indicate there is something wrong with your food strategy.

Tris from Surrey. Recently back on track and nigh-on maintenance again now, following a combination of an achilles injury and being fat and eating too much. In terms of fitness, running tends to be my thing. Add me up!

I keep telling the running machines that I am 85kg (my starting recent 'fat' starting weight), even though I'm down to about 81 point something now.

2000 kcals per day for me, and more if I have earned it with exercise.

Have I posted in this one before? I can't remember. Just in case.... I'm in Farnham, Surrey and always looking for more friends on here who are active and supportive. Running tends to be my focus in terms of exercise - full details on my profile, I guess :-)

'Skinny' is not an attractive term. Get yourself to a weight that you feel healthy and good at, and happy when you look in the mirror.

If running can dislocate your knee, SOMETHING IS WRONG AND SO DON'T RUN. Find out what is going on. I'm amazed that an MRI has not already been ordered! Get it done.

Never. Got to stop all those gym women hitting on me somehow, right?
-
Get on with exercising and ignore this 'water weight' crap.

Hey there. I'm in the UK. Farnham, Surrey to be precise. I log everything and you would be most welcome to add me.
-
I run. I'm a football / soccer referee so running forms part of that, and is obviously a large part of my training. Anyone feel free to add me!

The problem is not your boyfriend's house.
-
I really wouldn't worry about it. I never look at the nutrient levels. Just go by how you _feel_.
-
It's not genetics.

I had a bit of a 'splurge' on Saturday evening - just a bit too much curry and with some Prosecco thrown in. That said, nothing too bad and I was back on the straight and narrow (including training) the next day. My weak point has the splurging becoming the norm!

As some others have said, run outside! Perhaps also look into joining one of the outdoor bootcamp-style events that are all over the place nowadays, as they are group-based and run. You really don't need special trainers for running. It's a myth perpetrated by the running shoe industry. Just wear what is comfortable, and…

I'm 36 and down south. I'm not sure how much weight I want to lose yet, as currently playing it by ear, but certainly a minimum of 5 kg more to go at the moment. I run around a lot. Feel free to add me. I will say though, there is zero need whatsoever for you to be eating special diet foods etc imported from the US, or…
