Sounds like a dud scale. IF it is electronic, take the batteries out and reset. If still that off, send back. I've had to do that a couple of times with cheap electronic scales.

I love julienned zucchini and yellow squash. Quite yummy and can serve with any type of sauce. I use a lot of zucchini in place of pasta in lasagna.

My husband loves these. Can make as a meatloaf or in a muffin tin as well. Quite easy and yummy Turkey Parmesan Meatball Poppers Ingredients 1 lb ground turkey ¾ cup Italian breadcrumbs 1 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese 3 garlic cloves, pressed ½ small onion, grated 2 Tbsp + 1 cup marinara sauce (divided) ½ Tbsp dried…

I'm doing the Nashville Rock and Roll 1/2 in April. Quite excited. New runner and will do a fair amount of walking, but this time last year I could barely walk 1/2 a mile. Sunday I ran 7. Amazing what you can do if you set your mind to it.

I agree with the comment that you have to realize it is a lifestyle change and not a temporary event. For me, like with other addicts, I had to hit bottom (literally) and fell and couldn't get my fat *kitten* up off the floor. I think you also have to approach it the same as any other addiction and get to the bottom of why…

1.) I focus on the changes I have made as a "lifestyle" not a "diet". This is not temporary, but the way I am going to eat and exercise for the rest of my life 2.) Portion control everything even if it takes more time or is more expensive. I do love my snack foods, but can sit down and eat a whole bag of chips or nuts or…

You did great! I've started asking the waitress to not bring any bread. Can't eat what isn't on the table. I also find that I REALLY like a drink every now and then. I just order one and sip it very slowly and calculate it in with my calories. I had about 1/4 of a beer tonight but it was all I needed to be satisfied.

Congrats on the weight loss. You are doing great. As many others have said, I think our body changes faster than our mind does. I still see myself in size 26 pants and not in the size 10 I currently wear and had to be forced to try on because I kept telling my friend there was NO way I would fit into them. Guess…

I started out as as 42DD and am down to a 36 C and could probably go to a B. I'm not so sad about them getting smaller, but they headed south and sometimes I think I need to tuck them in my waistband.

I try to stick with places where I know the nutritional information or can do a good estimate. Sometimes it is impossible, but you have to use basic principles. Broiled, baked, or grilled proteins. Plain veggies or a salad with dressing on the side. I stay away from anything fried, pastas/rice/bread, white sauces, and…

I've refocused how I like at things. I live life one day at a time and try and control the things I can and not stress about the things I can't. When my week doesn't go as planned and work is stressful, I just remember that this is my new life and I don't really have any other choice but to do what I need to do....exercise…

Interestingly, most of the medical research shows that counseling is actually better for mild to mod depression. If you are having more mood swings, a psychiatrist is the way to go but never underestimate a good therapist. Many people say that figuring out your problems and working through them can help control the…

When I began my weight loss journey I decided to give up sodas and caffeine. I used to drink between 6-12 diet cokes a day and had headaches constantly. It has been nearly a year and I feel great. I think I've had one headache all year and feel like I have more energy without it. Makes no sense since it is a stimulant, but…

For me having a trainer was essential in the beginning when I was 100 pounds heavier and had no idea where to start. We discussed my goals which included such things as being able to get up off the floor and have balance. I also wanted to make sure I was losing fat, not muscle. It is amazing to see my progress over the…

I hate to see guys in compression shorts without shorts over them. It is just gross and no one wants to see someone's junk. If you insist on wearing them without shorts over them, at least wear a long t-shirt.

Mine shrunk and what was left decided to sag half way down to my waist. Can't wait to get them hiked up. Planning for this time next year.

I'll admit it..... I am one of those people that will get on the treadmill next to you if it is one of the few with the air conditioner vent or fan above it. Sorry. I like the cool air. I have also been known to talk on the phone. Unfortunately my job requires me to be on call 24/7/365 and I refuse to let it get in the way…

Impressive weight loss and impressive strength. And to think I can barely bench press the 45# bar. Don't worry about the scales. This isn't about how much you weigh but how much you can lift. If you are happy with the way your body looks, at this point, that is all that really matters. Keep up the good work. You are quite…

Reading this thread makes me appreciate how easy my periods are. Minimal cramping. Mostly grumpy. Hasn't affected my workouts.

Congrats. I have my first next month and have the same exact goals. Glad to know they are achievable. Keep up the good work.

The dannon fit and light greek tends to have lower carbs and higher protein. Most of the flavors are good as well.

I use the Jennie-o lean turkey Italian sausage in mine. Gives it a bit of a different flavor. Yummy

Definitely the prednisone. The kids I work with take it all the time and the parents tell me they have to put a lock on the fridge. It also makes people extremely moody and if you eat when you are moody and irritable, you are even worse off. You can't avoid it if you need it, but just beware and try to keep the eating…
