  • Ugh- Sorry girl, but I can not give you positive feedback on any diet pills. THROW THEM AWAY. A quick solution is not a permanent solution and yes, those are unhealthy for you: a. heart problems b. vision problems c. liver problems d. kidney problems e. headaches They do not teach you how to eat, how to lose and how to…
  • I despite the words "diet food" Unless you are on a special mail order food type program no food should be entirely off limits. Ask the host prior to the shower what you could bring as you are really watching your intake and while you may indulge, you want to be prepared so you can better frame your day. Bring a large…

  • well, see if you could put a sandwich or something in it, maybe in the door. We were like this in law school. One fridge, 200+ people. Maybe many are buying lunches. Mix it up: pbj and veggies one day, turkey in fridge another day, hummus wrap wtih veggies no fridge another day, luna , fruit and nuts another day, etc.
  • ditto the above. Drastically reducing consumption/being under 1600 calories while breast feeding will drastically reduce your supply. Unless you plan on weaning or supplementing soon, I would recommend eating 1200+ 500 from breast feeding most days.
  • NO FRIDGE? thats the dumps! How long b/w when you leave home and you eat your lunch? Use a few ice packs if you have to- My DH takes turkey sandwiches and never uses ice packs nor a fridge and never gets sick and has done it for 7 years now. Ideas: turkey wrap w/ veggies, mustard, lite mayo (I spread my mustard on the…
  • I agree with PP. You are getting about 10 hours of exercise a week and are eating roughly 1200 calories a day, that does not add up, especially at 225 lbs. Are you on nutrisystem and following the plan or not and just use the foods. Personally, unless you are "on plan 100%" I would cut out those premade high sodium loaded…
  • ditto, 155 grams of protein for one day is crazy! Is it possible for you to do 50 carb, 30 protein and 20 fat?

  • There is a 14 inch dominos hand tossed pepperoni on here, I know thin crust is thinner so you could put down 1.5 slices instead of 2. Or, you can search large thin crust pepperoni pizza- there are a few options, some of them list it for 1/4 pizza which is 2 slices normally. ETA: ignore the olives, not much calories,…
  • Ok, I just looked at mine and both the chest strap and watch say CE 0537, I am not sure what that means, I have the Polar F6, its written on the back of the watch towards the top. Is this what you have? if so, yes it does calorie count. Read the manual for whatever watch you have.
  • I can't seem to find that one online, I googled but no luck. I have the F6 and it does track calories. In my experience, even with entering height weight the machines at the gym overestimate by 25-30%, even though many use POlar brand HRMs built in.
  • I have been told (read here) that some HRM companies do back out those calories. Polar is not one of them. Not sure what the brand discussed was, but if you have Polar, yes, back it out.
  • agreed word for word. I do not eat all of my exercise calories, and now am successful not eating most of them so I enter into MFP what my HRM readouts are, for consistency sake. But, if you eat back your calories/go by MFP goals exactly based on your exercise calories earned then back out your BMR calories. For me its…
  • Anyone else not doing this every day but incorporating with other activity? I am SO happy this week and feeling so good! I have now done it 3 times, tomorrow will be day 4 for the week. I decreased my cardio at the gym b/c of the extra workout in the mornings before work. I also added in strength training at the gym,…
  • I agree with the "few more" or "few less". This is calorie cycling. It sounded like OP wanted to eat less 5 days a week and eat a LOT more on weekends, at least, thats how I read the words "save calories"
  • we have oven fries on hot dog/burger nights.
  • a swollen belly when you are not pregnant is NOT normal whatsover. I am glad you are seeking out some answers, keep us posted and you will be in my thoughts!
  • it would be incredibly helpful for replyers to if your food diary was public and we could give you feedback. Yes, as a male, if you are told to eat 1890 to LOSE and burn 1400 calories exercising (this would take me roughly 3 hours on the elliptical and about 2 hrs running, holy cow!) you should be eating at least the 1890…
  • This is what I discovered after months and months and years of just cadio. I did have my good days of cardio and strength had not lifted a weight in 12 months prior to this past weekend. I incorporated the 30 day shred into my workout (am) and added strength to my gym (afternoon). I will probably do a long cardio only…
  • I agree with others as to what foods are healthy and cheaper, I also agree that you shuld make your diary public so we see what your $ is being spent on and lastly, I agree, we eat, we do NOT restrict ourselves and spend about $300 a month with household products. We stock up on non-parishables when on sale. We keep…
  • this used to happen to me and as soon as I started keeping my heal down NONSTOP it went away and I have never had that problem again, EVER.
  • you REALLY need to address these concerns with a doctor. Unfortunately, I doubt any of us will be able to tell you what is causing your stomach issues, whether you or are not absorbing nutrients, etc.
  • I did my 2nd day today despite being insanely sore from a session withthe trainer. Today my neighbor felt the need to use a broom or something else to hit the ceiling (we are on the 2nd floor). I sincerely hope this does not continue, I do not want to scale down the intensity of those cardio bursts, they really get my…
  • Hillary, that sounds like such a whirlwind. I can relate to weightloss frustration, as can many of us. I would speak to a doctor again about your concerns and also consult with a nutritionist. I have my settings at 50%carb, 30% protein and 20% fat. Are you getting HEALTHY fats? peanut butter, OIL. Healthy fats will get…
  • milk is good for the calcium however the fat that comes from animals: milk, butter, cream, MEAT, tends to be bad fat, although some does have Omega-3s etc. Try skim milk or 1% to get the benefits of milk without the fat or with less fat.
  • I guess my crying last night about pain today was a pinch early. I AM sore, but not as bad as last night surprisingly. Am hoping that by 5:30 tonight I am good to go and can do my 2nd day of the shred! Goal is 5 days a week
  • I have not done a single core/abdominal workout in an entire year and yes, I am having the same issue. I keep my legs closer in than straight out like that, hopefully I will improve. Let me tell you, I still feel those babies!
  • yes, you do need weights. You could try using bigger water bottles (like 1 liter size) filled with water, or fill smaller bottles with rice or something heavier? Just water in the 2 cup bottles is 1 lb so not much. I do not think the upper body workouts would be effective with 1 lb bottles of water  Good for you for…
  • can I 'count" tonight's session with the trainer as a 30DS day, I mean, I only planned on doing it 5 days a week but this week I think it will be 4 plus today's session. I feel guilty that I could not do it today and I bet tomorrow will be impossible. I feel like if I push myself through it tomorrow (no idea how that would…
