I lost 38lbs in 3 and a half months. Done thru exercise (running/biking/etc) and through portion control. Cut out snacking & night time eating.

I'm only 5'3.5" Amy, so i know what you mean when you say 5lbs is a lot on a short person. I am very close to your weight so I know every pound counts. I still think your body is holding on for repair purposes. We're puting our body's through a lot, so it's just doing its thing so we can do our thing. I vote you / we…

It may be the longer distances you are running. Your muscles are holding / retaining the water for repair. From what I understand, you're running 10+ miles now, so that may be the reason why as I am sure you're eating habits have not changed /increased. I am not sure if it's normal, but I've noticed that since I've upped…

I've been running for 6+ years, but for whatever reason, it wasn't until this year that I actually called myself a runner. Before I was someone who ran, now I am a runner. Not sure when the change over occurred, but I am glad that it did.

Like Brian said, running is highly addictive. Over 6 years ago, I signed up for a race on a whim with some friends. Wasn't prepared, didn't train, walked a lot but crossing that finish line was an awesome feeling. So I signed up for a few more races and worked on my running. It's been 6+ years and now I have a half on my…
