Planning ahead is key as the others stated. I also stick to very strict protein first.

Even with weight loss surgery you still have to eat healthy and exercise because it's only a tool.

I am 3 years 3 months out from lap band. I had been at my goal weight until I got pregnant in Sept 2011 and gave birth to my beautiful daughter May 2012. I am now 36 pounds heavier than my goal weight and trying to get back on track. I have had 2 fills since Izzy was born and I am still not having much restriction.

I had lap band surgery May 2009. I lost 150 pounds, I just had a baby 3 weeks ago so I am now on a goal to lose the 35 pounds I gained by Aug 4.

I always ate before hand and then would make a small plate of acceptable foods for my band and pretty much just push food around. Yes it's a waste of food but it was easier for me to do that than just keep declining anything to eat or drink. Good luck

I like using the whey protein for my breakfast in the mornings. I use skim milk but I think I might try it with that vanilla almond milk. Let me know how you end up liking it. Also I can only use one scoop not two without having to choke it down. Good luck and congrats on your 10# loss!!
