Tomorrow finishes week 2! I'm pretty fired up!

Several months ago, my husband and I finally had a night that we were free of children, and decided to go out for a nice dinner. Being that we live in FL, and it was beautiful evening weather, we opted to dine in the outdoor area of Carabba's. There were several families who had just finished having a birthday party, in…

Well if that's the case...I've lost probably over 500 lbs...lolol!! 3 ex-husbands. I'm taking liberties in adding them all up! Makes my goal look SOOOO much less!!

So sorry that this happened to you...to everyone who posted their experiences. Kids ARE so rude and disrespectful. I find it quite surprising that the 12 year olds the OP encountered were actually OUTSIDE! I'm guessing MAYBE (doubtful, but maybe) their parents kicked them off the video games and couch and forced them to go…

Yes...this makes sense to me now...that's how I thought it worked, but wasn't sure...Thank you!!

I got sick with a UTI back in September 2011. When I gave them my urine sample (sorry if it's TMI), the UTI became secondary to the 300+ level of sugar in my urine. I went to my doctor, and he ran the blood work. You guessed it...205 lbs and A1C of 10, uncontrolled Type 2 Diabetic. That was the deal-breaker. I cleaned out…

Thanks for the input! I guess I just get confused with the fact that I should eat 1200 calories a day...and then exercise burns 500 for a net of 700? So I technically want to eat 1200 calories, burn the 500 from workout. UGH!!! At the end of it, I'm sure this is all so simple stupid, I'll be ashamed for having asked!

I live in FL, and heat or not...I knew I had to get up and moving. I started out walking 1 mile a night...7 nights a week. Then I bumped up to 2 miles, and eventually 3 miles a night. Now I've just started C25K 3 nights a week, regardless of the heat (I know if I don't push through, I'll give it up). On the non-C25K…

52 lbs in 10 months!

I work out 6 days a week. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are Power 90 Sculpt AND C25K, and Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays are Power 90 Sweat/Ab Ripper. Sundays are my rest days.

Just completed my food diary for the day, and came in under 1200 calories. It was also a rest day from exercise. I'm completely satisfied...just wasn't able to achieve the 1200 calories. It's not hard to do, given that fruits and veggies have a much lower calorie count, and if you're full, can you honestly eat more than…

I was born and raised 29 years in Michigan, and moved 12 years ago to FL! Gave up the quirky MI weather for East Coast FL living, a 5 minute drive to the beach, and beautiful weather! Add me if you'd like! I'm currently doing Power 90 and C25K. I was 205 lbs back in September 2011, and have lost 52 lbs so far. I'm looking…

I realized after my Cardio yesterday, that I almost have Cardio 1/2 done! I struggle at first with the calisthenics, primarily toward the end of the 2nd set. Everything else is pretty easy. I don't want to be too comfortable with it, but I think I'll stick with it for another 2 weeks to master everything. We'll see how it…

It's pretty easy to eat way more than 1200 calories a day AND gain weight if you're not eating healthy foods. For instance, if you eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at McDonalds...high calories (over 1200) and NOT good for you. When you start dieting, you eat cleaner (fruits, veggies, grains) and those are lower in calories,…

Sarahthes I accepted your request! I just finished up my first week of Power 90, wrapped up with Cardio 1/2 and Ab Ripper 100. Aside from the jumping jacks, I've got all of the other stuff down really well. I think I'll linger in 1/2 for a couple more weeks, and move on. Sculpt 1/2 is another issue for me. I KNOW I have to…

Oh...and please, if anyone is also doing Power 90, feel free to friend me!!

Just finishing up first week of Power 90. Missed out on 1 cardio/abs session (I'm also implementing C25K on sculpting days, so my body was pretty wore out), and felt miserable. Someone mentioned keeping a rep chart, and I like that idea. I'm going to try to create one of those to keep track. Has anyone fully completed the…

40...definitely 40, but near the end, going onto 41. Never been overly confident until I was able to see results of my concerted effort to regain control of my life and health.

4 times my body nurtured and grew beautiful babies. Stretch marks are my sacrifice. Sure, I gained weight, and now I'm losing it, which makes them a little more pronounced, but I wouldn't trade them for anything. My husband LOVES them, feels they are a sign of the magical thing my body has done during those 4 pregnancies…

Now that I've dropped 52 pounds in the past 9 months, I get comments such as "you've lost too much, you need to stop". I know what my goal is, and I know, after discussion with my physician, what my "healthy" weight range is. I'm about 15 pounds away from that, so I'm going to keep going. When I'm asked why I've decided to…

I tried explaining this to my daughter when she was looking for a job with a pierced lip, pierced tongue and tattoos. I advised her to remove them, and cover her tattoos for interviews. Although we all want to express ourselves in our own ways (I myself have tattoos), they can be perceived differently in a job…

I've found that when I specifically schedule in my time to workout, it gets done. That being said, I invested in Power 90 by Tony Horton. It's broken up into sculpting and cardio/abs. I do sculpting 3 days a week (which it's about a 28 minute workout) and cardio/abs 3 days a week (about 45 minutes). I alternate days, and…

A little early to determine fave players right now. I didn't watch earlier seasons, but watched 12 and 13. I'm really glad Britney is back...her facial expressions and DR moments are hilarious! Hubby and I feel that Joe the chef is on the show being loud and obnoxious so that he "might" get a chance at his own cooking…

He's 22...living at home. Your house, your rules! No 22 year old should be sitting in front of the tv eating a large order of chicken wings. Seems he finds comfort being at home eating as much as he wants to. If you make it a "no junk food" zone, he'll have to eat out in public. Sounds harsh, as it'll probably make him…
