  • Great results! I've just started 6 Week 6 Pack, and it's a killer workout! Love all the moves, and really enjoying the cardio HIIT segments as well. Striving to keep up with Jillian on the burpees (HATE burpees) and Side Planks are my BIGGEST downfall... Great job!!!
  • We can't teach each and every person in the world to have manners. Write it off as she has no manners. You did the right thing. I have co-workers, and even when they KNOW and SEE that I'm right behind them, they won't hold the door. I've learned that they have no class, no manners, and no respect. Now, when I see that they…
  • I greatly appreciate all that you've done to help me, but I feel it's time for me to move in a different direction. I've found another trainer that can do (insert suggestion here). Thank you again for all of your help, it's nothing about your style or program, I just feel right now I have to move in this direction. A nice…
  • DEFINITELY get a new trainer. This is a train wreck waiting to happen... And not judging, btw. We are all human, and maybe you have the "crush" because he's helped you do so well. Thank him and move on (probably a female trainer next time?)
  • Another suggestion I'll make is switch up your workout, and even switch up what TIME you do your workout. Your body may be "used" to the 30 DS, and you might need to do something different. Your body can also get used to what "time" you work out. So, if you're working out at night, try changing it to first thing in the…
  • ^^This!!^^
  • Thank you nxd10 for your suggestion. I'm going to do just that...have him start logging. And...thank you for posting without judgment. I wrestled with whether to post or not, because I didn't want the "stigma" of pain meds to affect peoples' responses. Unfortunately, with drug problems running rampant all over, it's very…
  • OP...I may have missed it, but what is your age? I agree with most that your parents' behavior is beyond just sabotage of your efforts. It IS abusive. If you are of legal age, consider moving into your own place, even with some friends who WILL be supportive. If you are not of legal age, seek some assistance to see what…
  • I COMPLETELY agree that my diet is less than stellar. It sucks to be in a rush in the morning and forget to bring the healthy lunch, and opt for fast food. I appreciate each and every comment, and I knew when I posted that I was opening myself up to some criticism! It's all welcome, and surely something I need to see to…
  • Yeah...I've considered the snack thing, and some of the foods. I'm going to revamp the diet and get my fruits and veggies back on track, and definitely lower the sodium. Thanks for the input!
  • I've been under calories, spot on on calories, and even bumped up calories...to be honest the calories thing confuses the heck out of me!!
  • And I might add I'm still eating the same way I was when I changed the diet. Low carb, no white foods, etc. And I'm drinking the recommended water as well.
  • I get that surgery is the only option for some folks. The problem that I have, and I've seen it, is when someone has the surgery, and in a public forum or social media, they are asked HOW they lost that weight...the answers that are given mystify me. "I just use my WII Fit"... "just yoga"... REALLY?? You lose over 100 lbs…
  • I had my gallbladder removed in 2007. I was pretty heavy then, and hit my heaviest in 2011 at 205. My largest concern was my sugar, as I was in 2011 diagnosed uncontrolled Type 2 Diabetic. I've managed to lose 54 lbs since September 2011, even without my gallbladder. I really just started watching the foods I was eating,…
  • I've had to deal with my ex every other weekend. Funny how as the weight started coming off, instead of him showing up alone to pick up the kidlet, his "heavier" wife started coming with him. Hmmm...now...they're separated! No interest on this end...married the most AWESOME man ever and happier than I've ever been!
  • the other thing I would ask is, how do you FEEL? Are you feeling a difference in how your clothes feel? Sometimes the number on the scale isn't the definite tell-tale of progress. If you're toning, clothes feel a little smaller, but the weight isn't dropping off, that's okay. It's still progress! I hit a plateau as far as…
  • Walking is a great way to start things out, but have you considered adding additional cardio? Sometimes just changing up your program will "shock" your body, and could help move things along. What about the time of day you do your walking? If you walk in the morning, try doing the afternoon or evening. Just a couple…
  • Agreed! In our office, we all take a turn each Friday with bringing in breakfast. I usually end up eating at home before coming in on Friday, as everyone generally brings the usual donuts, bagels, and coffee cakes. I've lost 53 lbs so far, and it's been common knowledge in our office since day 1. I never hid the fact that…
  • My husband, his parents, even his grandparents have always said...there is NO room for more than ONE family (or ONE couple) in a home. Any more than that, and there will nothing but discord. I'd rethink my living arrangements, and also start analyzing (you're going for psychology, right? This should be easy) your BF's…
  • Don't give up! It IS frustrating when you don't see movement on the scale, for sure. However, you're 2 weeks into this, and you're finding your way to a healthier means of eating. I was 205 lbs at age 40, diagnosed Diabetic. I NEVER did any exercise, didn't watch what I was eating, and when the reality hit, I had to make…
  • This sounds yummy! Looking forward to trying it this weekend!
  • I agree, the first day is always the toughest. My first start on C25K, I made it through week 2, and then I gave up. I've started it up again, and I'm at week 3. I feel stronger than I did 2 weeks ago, that's for sure! Keep it up! The rewards will be worth it!
  • In addition, I'm also doing the C25K to get ready to run my first 5K (I've walked others). I'm going to do the Color Run in December.
  • I use a podcast, and the recommendation is 3 days per week. I do Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. That way, I have Saturday and Sunday off from the C25K. I'm also working on toning up the body, so I'm also incorporating Power 90 6 days a week. basically, I'm doing 6 days of cardio and 3 days of strengh training. How are…
  • Aside from feeling better, did you notice any difference weight-wise? I'm just curious, as I also stumbled across this Apple Cinnamon Spa Water recipe!
  • Diagnosed Type 2 Diabetic September 2011...dropped 50+ pounds and back down to pre-diabetic...basically in remission!
  • Yes...A1C is down to 5.7 at last check. Still have to get the next set of labs done to see how things are going!
  • Thank you! I have about 20 to 30 lbs left to go...I'm so glad the bulk of it is gone! I've slowed down my loss, and focusing more on toning and strengthening right now. If I don't reach goal, I know I'm at a healthier weight today than I was almost a year ago!
  • I told everyone, and still tell everyone! I tell everyone when I've had a "bad" eating day, I tell them about my triumphs. I've got no secrets when it comes to my weight loss. If my story helps even one person make the decision to improve their life and health, then it's worth it to me to have my story "out on the street"!!
  • Set-backs...they're called set-backs. It is only failure if you stop trying. Even if you are trying over and over. You've got this, I'm sure! Best wishes!
