Also, keep in mind that A LOT of other people are thinking along the same lines as you, and recruitment is very high right now. Enlistment bonuses are down, and you may not get the job you want. And like the previous poster said, there is a very good chance you will go to war. this should be something you want to do.

how was everyone's weekend? I didnt get near as much exercise that I wanted, and i didnt go TOO far over my calories. I still weighed in 159 this morning, so if I can carry that into tomorrow I should hopefully see 158 by Thursday. drink water. track your calories, even if you go over. don't give up. I didn't gain this weight over a couple weeks, I'm not going to lose it in a couple weeks. This is a lifestyle change, not a diet.

I was on Chantix twice and my advice is to drink A LOT of water. Not only does the medicine make you hungry but not smoking makes you want to shove a lot of junk in your mouth! Water was the only thing that helped. I have heard of people also using gum or mints. Congrats on joining and quitting! :laugh:

I have been a member of PBS for years, I never thought to look on SwapaDVD for workout dvds! I will have to check it out when I get home now :happy:

the run was awesome. I ran 3 min/walk 2 min four times to get myself back in the pace, then decided to just go for it and jogged for 6 minutes. for me, thats pretty amazing. I'm thinking I need to tweak my training times, but I am just so glad I did it. Starting to feel healthy again, chicken and cauliflower for dinner…

fell off the wagon pretty bad. didnt run at all last week, first because of my anniversary then my husband got sick then I thought I was getting sick, then I was just lazy the rest of the week. I completely understand, last week was my anniversary but my husband was sick so we ended up not working out and eating complete crap all week. luckily I only went up to 163 but I feel so run down and icky from the bad food. Cant wait to get back into a normal routine with good food and exercise!

had a horrible past weekend. took monday and tuesday off work b/c of my anniversary, and hubby ended up coming down horribly sick with a chest cold friday night. so all plans of biking and running went out the door. ended up eating horribly all weekend and not doing any exercising. getting back on track today.

finally bought new running shoes!!! :drinker: seeing as how the ones I am replacing are clearance walmart running shoes, my legs are thanking me very much! Got a nice pair of Oasics, and I took them out for a 30 min walk. very nice :love:

not so well, a lot of changes are being made to my schedule that are out of my control, but the up side is hopefully my husband and I will be waking up early for a morning run. we have both tried doing this on our own and it never lasted, so hopefully if both of us do it we will have better results. I have been trying to stay consistent with a run/walk program, but just cant get my act together. I am running for 2 min/walking 3 min, but since I can't stick to a schedule I'm getting nowhere slowly.

How was everyones weekend? my food choices weren't that great, a lot of going out for food but I did manage to walk/run yesterday. weighed in 162 this morning.

My belly too, but I have no excuse. my thighs are starting to firm up, but I still have a muffin top with love handles. My arms are getting better! I had a friend poke me in the arm today and she said whoa! when did you beef up?
