  • I'm always looking for more motivational friends! I lost 35 on my own, but gained back about half so I am back at it again. Hoping to lose about 50 this time, but doing it in 15 lb increments so it feels more attainable. Feel free to add me anyone!
  • I also live in the Beaverton/Hillsboro area! I work in the morning though... leave at 7:30 and get home around 4:30, but would totally be up for weekends or evenings!
  • My piece of advice is don't take on too much at once. Start by logging and eating healthier. After a month of solidity, give yourself a cheat day once in awhile. Then slowly work in exercise. If you do it all at once it's overwhelming and you're more likely to give up. Also, when I feel less motivated, I sit down with a…
  • Feel free to add me as well! I like to motivate/support others and am looking for it myself. It helps keep me going!! The more support the better. I log daily and am on here quite a bit (since I figure it's better than snacking!) :)
  • Also forgot to mention that my favorite place for recipes is SkinnyTaste.com. Everything is healthy and made from scratch and I haven't had a recipe I didn't like. You might check it out. :)
  • I am a BAD snacker too, so I totally understand! If you take a look back through my first days logging on MFP (about 3-4 weeks ago) you can see how bad it was. Just be aware and make sure that when you are snacking you are making healthy choices. I have gotten much better just by tracking things and trying to fill up more…
  • I have a friend who is large on top and the only place they could find her sports bras that fit was Macy's. This was years ago, but you might try them. Not super cheap, but they might have that size.
  • I am on here quite often as I find it much easier to stay motivated by checking in on here and making friends who are as serious about losing as I am. I would love any adds of people who are serious about helping motivate, and I will do the same!
  • Start slowly!! Experiment with foods that fill you up for longer and after awhile you will realize that you can still enjoy food, stay full, indulge once in awhile, and lose weight...all at the same time. My advice is focus on the food and drinking less caloric beverages, and once you have a handle on that, throw in some…
  • I would love to add some new friends! I have a few already, but it seems they don't like to motivate as much as I had hoped. This is a tough game we play, and I am trying to conquer it! I have about 40-50 lbs to lose (30 down from my highest, not using MFP...and about a year ago, so I am back at it.) I would love some new…
  • Add me! I will help motivate, and Lord knows I need it too!! :)
  • I would say that NONE of those are bad!!! Great job!!
  • Are you working out? I would throw some exercise in there while maintaining the 1500 calories and I bet your body will be right back to shedding the pounds.
  • I have had a c-section and I find the fat comes off slower in the mid-section now as well, but weight lifting and core strength training has made a huge difference. It will happen if you are set on it and work hard, it is just probably going to happen slower and I don't think it's possible without working out.
  • I just graduated with my MAT this year. I did okay through the year, but toward the end ("crunch time") I lost it. I gained about 15 lbs. I have been working hard to get it off again, but I realized that I was going crazy and something had to give because there was so much work to do. Focus on school and try your best at…
  • Oh and I forgot to mention that the other thing that has helped me lately is when I feel like I want to binge, I sit down with some water and read success stories and look at before/after pictures. Then before I know it, either the desire has passed or it's bed time. :)
  • First of all, I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!! I am a TOTAL binge eater. For me, it comes in waves. Personally, I have realized I can't allow myself to have those "free" days where I don't focus on what I eat or count my calories because I end up on a 6 month+ binge where it's happening every night. And like you, I say, "I won't do it…
  • First of all, congratulations on choosing your health! You will be such a happier person. I have a friend on here who uses MFP and has for over a year now. She weight 256 when she started in May 2012 and she is now 157. She looks and feels amazing! It can definitely be done. I have lost 30 lbs twice but have gained it back…
  • I have done it twice and had a blast both times!
  • If you don't sweat when you workout then you aren't doing it right!! Hang in there and eventually you will love the feeling. Especially as things get easier. Plus you are doing great things for your heart. And eve. Though you feel like people are staring I promise they aren't! There is usually mutual respect in the gym.…
